"Such long, slender legs..."
This was Sato's first time realizing that Darkrai had legs—and that they were so slender and long.
"Let's get started. That crazy woman Cresselia will be pestering me again before long." The moment Darkrai saw Sato and the others, he hurried over impatiently.
"Hm?"
Sato blinked. There was more to Darkrai's words than met the eye!
Crazy woman? Pestering him? Thinking of Cresselia's ethereal temperament, it simply did not fit at all, okay =()!
"The commotion from Devouring Divinity won't be small. You don't plan to do it here, do you?"
Unlike Sato, Ralts had no desire to make snide remarks. Nervous yet expectant, it had already focused all its attention on the upcoming divinity devouring.
"Follow me!" Darkrai beckoned, then tucked away his legs and floated into the sky, leading Sato and the others toward the beach on the other side.
"So they weren't legs—they were shadows!"
Sato came to a sudden realization. Darkrai seemed to be a mass of shadow by nature; only by connecting himself to the ground could he stand firmly in a certain place instead of floating around.
Darkrai led the way ahead while Sato held Ralts and hurried after him. Before long, they arrived at a rocky cliff face.
Darkrai could fly, so he easily made it to the bottom of the cliff before flashing into it.
Sato sighed helplessly. He had intended to send out Sharpedo to follow, but Ralts directly used Confusion to carry them both over.
In such a hurry? Sato glanced at Ralts in his arms but said nothing.
As they floated down beneath the cliff, a freshly dug cave appeared before the one person and one Pokémon.
Sato's feet touched the ground. Smelling the fresh, earthy scent of soil around him, he slowly walked inside.
