After Recover, Milotic's condition was restored to normal. It could easily fight another three hundred rounds.

After much consideration, Wallace still gave up on having Milotic engage in close combat to try to trigger its Cute Charm Ability.

Because Tyranitar was basically a rock. Seduction was completely useless against it! "Milotic, Hydro Pump!"

"Tyranitar, Rock Slide!"

The battlefield was largely covered in standing water. Although Tyranitar could slide across it to move, it was far from convenient.

Under Wallace's command, Milotic had already begun a frenzied bombardment.

It swam rapidly around Tyranitar, continuously alternating between Hydro Pump and Blizzard. The attacks came so frequently that Tyranitar had no chance to catch its breath.

Tyranitar responded calmly as well. It controlled rocks of all sizes around it, blocking wave after wave of attacks. It even found opportunities to ambush Milotic once or twice, though most of those attempts came to nothing.

"Dad, Dad! Why are Milotic and Tyranitar only using one or two moves over and over? Didn't you tell me that using different moves alternately could often catch the opponent by surprise? Don't they know that?"

In the stands, a little boy tugged on his dad's hand and asked innocently.

"Uh..." The little boy's dad scratched his head. He was only an Elite Trainer himself and had come to watch the match to learn.

So how could he possibly know what the two Genius Trainers on the field were thinking?

Just as the boy's dad was feeling awkward, a voice that made people instinctively want to listen sounded beside him.

"Little friend, alternating moves can indeed produce unexpected results. But every move works on a different principle. If a Pokémon keeps switching between them, it'll become very, very tired."

The little boy and his dad simultaneously showed identical puzzled expressions.
