When the European Emperor Hides

Several translucent sky-blue blades sliced through the air, striking Malamar from different angles at once.

Togekiss was much faster than Malamar, so before Psychic could even be unleashed, Air Slash had already struck Malamar hard! Fortunately, Light Screen had weakened Air Slash by half, so Malamar was not seriously injured.

But just as Charlie thought his Malamar was about to launch a counterattack, Psychic failed to arrive for a long time!

Until...

"Togekiss, Air Slash!"

Whoosh, whoosh, whoosh! Several more translucent sky-blue blades attacked, yet Malamar remained completely motionless where it stood!

Slash! Slash, slash!! Air Slash cut across Malamar's smooth skin again, leaving several deep, clear gashes.

Only then did the stunned Richard realize that his foul-tempered Malamar was...

Trembling!

It had fallen into a flinching state! Charlie was, after all, a member of the Elite Four Reserve, so he quickly figured out why, but for a time, there was nothing he could do.

Because the second Air Slash had also caused it to flinch, Malamar still could not move.

In Malamar's eyes, those tiny translucent blades seemed capable of splitting heaven and earth apart.

Overwhelmed by terror, Malamar could not even move a single tentacle. It seemed as though only falling beneath those blades could free it! "Togekiss, Air Slash!"

The exact same command, completely devoid of technique, yet it filled all the onlookers with an inexplicable fear.

There was no escaping!

Slash! Slash, slash, slash!!! "Malamar, cheer on! You have to break free from the fear in your heart..."

Air Slash struck again, and Richard's Heal Bell quickly entered the battlefield.
