"Brother Moyan, my Miltank is super strong! Fight me, just one battle!"
Akane had become livelier as she grew older. She was still a little shy when she first saw Sato, but once her childhood memories had been awakened, she immediately started clinging to him again.
"Ahem, I just finished a mission a couple of days ago. Zoroark and the others are pretty tired, so I sent them home to rest."
Sato made up an excuse. He did not want to make his partners suffer, even if it was just to humor Akane.
But if they really fought, no matter how strong Akane's Miltank was, it would only be the difference between being knocked out in one move or two.
If Akane cried then, that would be a true disaster.
"All right, Akane. Your Brother Moyan is already an Alliance Investigator, so he's usually very busy.
Now that Brother Moyan has finally gotten some time to relax with us, don't bother him anymore."
Master Yasumura spoke slowly from his recliner. He no longer had the energy he had when Sato first met him, when he could get lost several kilometers away in a single morning.
After all, time waits for no one. This once dominant figure could now only speak softly to his granddaughter.
"Oh, all right! Brother Moyan, have a good rest. I'll go prepare the freshest Moomoo Milk for you!"
Akane was quite obedient when it came to her grandpa. Afterwards, she skipped out of the room.
Sato watched Akane leave before walking over and sitting beside Master Yasumura.
"In the blink of an eye, Akane has grown so much."
"Yeah! In the blink of an eye, that brat who used to mooch food and drinks off me has become an Alliance Investigator too."
Sato twitched his mouth.
