This was the fifth day of Sato and Cynthia's battles on the cliff. These past few days, they had maintained a pace of two battles a day.
Cynthia's four Elite Four-level Pokemon had also been revealed one by one. Aside from her strongest Garchomp, her Gastrodon, Lucario, and Roserade had all reached the Elite Four level.
Milotic, on the field, was the fifth Elite Four-level Pokemon Cynthia planned to cultivate.
Sharpedo also happened to be the fourth Elite Four-level Pokemon Sato planned to cultivate.
Though both were Water-type Pokemon, Milotic and Sharpedo had completely different fighting styles.
With its Speed Boost Ability, Sharpedo grew faster and fiercer the longer it fought, often toying with its opponents through sheer speed alone.
Milotic, however, was the exact opposite. With support moves such as Recover, Aqua Ring, Refresh, and Coil, it was exceptionally gifted at restoring its stamina.
It truly lived up to the saying: as long as it wasn't one-shot, it could never be taken down! During the early stage of battle, Sharpedo's Speed Boost Ability had not yet built up, so its relatively slow attacks could not inflict any fatal damage on Milotic.
But in the later stage, when Sharpedo had become so fast it couldn't be seen clearly, Milotic's various boosts had also reached their peak.
Thus, Sharpedo still couldn't hurt Milotic! Yet Milotic also had no way to counterattack Sharpedo—or rather, it simply couldn't catch a Sharpedo flying around too quickly.
In the end, Sato and Cynthia could only helplessly end the match.
If they kept fighting like this, who knew when it would end!
