Background / History
Stone was an orphan whose family had been killed by wild beasts. Born without a special ability, he was isolated and routinely bullied by other dwarf children, particularly Qing 231.
Su Qi selected Stone as someone worth guiding and implanted unfamiliar knowledge into his dreams. Stone awoke frightened by the foreign memories, but came to believe they were knowledge bestowed by a great existence or the Divine Tree 232. He practiced the meditation method obsessively, entering deep meditation within twenty days 233.
After several months, Stone awakened a special ability while being attacked by Qing. He soon discovered that he could move objects through thought alone, unlike the dwarves' ordinary mental and psychic abilities 233 234. His early power remained insufficient against adult dwarves; when Great Qing and Qing's parents intervened, Stone was beaten but refused to apologize 235.
Three years of meditation produced Stone's first major breakthrough. He retaliated against Great Qing, Qing, and their family, then forced the tribe to accept him as its leader through overwhelming power 235 236. Though he initially spared his former tormentors, a later rebellion led him to kill several ringleaders and rule through fear 237.
Stone remained leader for decades, consuming Divine Fruits and meditating continuously to surpass his limits. After tribesmen poisoned and ambushed him, he escaped, recovered, and achieved two further breakthroughs. He returned to suppress the attackers, killing hundreds and cementing his rule 238 239.
His extended lifespan did not remove his fear of death. Near the end of his life, Stone searched the knowledge he had received for a path to further advancement and discovered a cultivation method centered on a small organ in his brain 240 244. When Lie—empowered by the Core of Abnormality—attacked the tribe, Stone was nearly killed before manifesting his third eye 245.
Stone later revealed that the Divine Tree had granted him the knowledge behind his breakthroughs. He taught the dwarves meditation and sought immortality through consciousness transfer 247 278. He successfully transferred into younger bodies over centuries, concealing his survival while his former bodies were mourned by the tribe 279.
Repeated transfers could not permanently halt the decay of Stone's spirit. After attaining Level 5, he attempted to transfer into the long-lived organism Taishui and fell into deep sleep 279 280. When he awakened, he encountered humans, seized Calvin's body after detecting danger in a prepared host body, and began learning human language and technology from Calvin's fragmented memories 333. He later publicly identified himself as the Stone shown in Origin Net films 360 405.
Appearance
Stone's appearance changed substantially across his long life and successive bodies.
- As an adult dwarf, he was burly, muscular, and heroic-looking, with an increasingly cold and distant expression 238.
- In old age, his hair became half black and half white 239.
- His later breakthrough formed a brown-yellow third eye on his forehead, a visible sign of his advanced special ability 245 277.
- After taking Calvin's body, he appeared as a burly, well-built white man with a full beard 333 405.
Personality
Stone began as a frightened, humiliated child, but his isolation and prolonged abuse shaped him into a taciturn, guarded individual. He kept the knowledge granted to him secret, avoided danger when weak, and devoted nearly all of his time to meditation 234 235.
After gaining power, Stone became cold and vengeful. He viewed his leadership as necessary for survival, but maintained it through intimidation and lethal reprisals against rebellion 236 237. He remained solitary even as an adult, distrusting his fellow dwarves and keeping no partner 238.
Despite his ruthlessness, Stone was deeply devoted to the Creation God and believed his strength came from divine knowledge. His greatest personal fear was death, driving his breakthroughs, body transfers, and eventual attempt to inhabit Taishui 247 279 280. Upon entering the human era, he also showed genuine curiosity toward technology and humanity's creativity 333.
Abilities & Skills
Telekinesis
Stone's special ability moves and restrains matter through thought, without the mental-power or psychic fluctuations associated with other dwarves' abilities 234.
- Moves stones as weapons and can use them to injure opponents 235.
- Lifts, restrains, and breaks the limbs of opponents from a distance 236.
- Enables sustained flight 237 333.
- Creates invisible force barriers capable of opposing multiple special-ability users 238.
- Can immobilize large groups after his later breakthroughs 239.
- Was initially weak, reached repeated bottlenecks, and could be overwhelmed by stronger opponents such as Lie 234 245.
Meditation and Breakthrough Cultivation
Stone's meditation method was derived from the knowledge Su Qi implanted into his mind, which Stone attributes to the Divine Tree or Creation God 232 247.
- Achieved deep meditation after twenty days of persistent practice 233.
- Increased his mental power and allowed him to repeatedly exceed the limits that trapped other dwarves 235 239.
- Became the foundation for his long-term cultivation and later research into consciousness transfer 244 278.
- Was eventually taught to other dwarves, enabling widespread development of special abilities 278 279.
Third Eye
Stone's forehead eye emerged during a life-or-death breakthrough against Lie 245.
- Marks his Level 4 special ability and grants a major increase in power 245 279.
- Is brown-yellow in color 277.
- Similar forehead eyes later appear among other Level 4 dwarves and can be inherited by their offspring, though with weaker amplification 279.
Consciousness Transfer
Stone developed a method to move his consciousness into new bodies in pursuit of immortality 278 279.
- Successfully transferred into a young dwarf body and concealed his continued existence from the tribe 279.
- Repeated the process approximately once per century, inhabiting multiple bodies over centuries 279.
- Took Calvin's body after incapacitating the human team that approached him 333.
- Does not fully prevent spiritual decay; his consciousness continued deteriorating despite successive transfers 279.
- His attempt to transfer into Taishui resulted in deep sleep and an uncertain fate until his later awakening 280 333.
