Ever since the alien monster Boros and his Dark Matter Pirates had reduced the entire city to ruins, the Hero Association headquarters had simply been rebuilt.
The current Hero Association headquarters was a steel fortress constructed with the assistance of Rank S Hero Metal Knight. A network of roads had also been built around it, ensuring that the Association's heroes could reach headquarters at the earliest possible moment and head out to provide support wherever needed.
There were many cities in the One-Punch World, but the farther down the alphabet a city was from A-City to Z-City, the more remote it was and the more frequently monsters appeared there.
Since major incidents such as the alien monster invasion and the falling meteor, all the prominent figures had moved to A-City for the safety of their families and assets.
After all, A-City was the most prosperous of all the cities, and the Hero Association headquarters was located there. Quite a few heroes above A-Class also lived within the headquarters, so A-City had naturally become the safest city in everyone's eyes.
Z-City, in this world overrun by monsters, was an uninhabited zone known as the most terrifying city.
The frequency of monster appearances there was as ordinary as eating and sleeping every day. If one walked the streets of Z-City without encountering a monster, that would be the abnormal thing.
When the Hero Association received reports of monsters appearing, it would generally dispatch heroes of suitable strength to eliminate them.
But if the monster appeared in Z-City, the Hero Association would even choose to ignore it.
