Gu Qing joined a GANTZ hunt, concealed his power while killing aliens and a witness, then learned that GANTZ was gathering veteran fighters because of approaching threats. Black Suit Aliens came to seize his black ball, but he killed them all and chose to enter the Black Ball Room again.

• GANTZ assigned Gu Qing equipment labeled Windbreaker Man and sent him with Kurono Kei's team to hunt the Multi-Eyed Aliens.
• The aliens' Corrosive Light Waves melted two unequipped newcomers, while Gu Qing survived the beams and killed two aliens with a pointed finger.
• Gu Qing killed the blond-haired young man to keep him from revealing what he had witnessed, while Kurono Kei and the others fought the remaining aliens.
• After the mission, GANTZ awarded Gu Qing four points, and Kurono Kei accepted his claim that he had killed aliens by sneaking up on them.
• Black Suit Aliens tracked Gu Qing down to take Ayukawa Eiriko's black ball, but he erased them all when they attacked.

Kenji died after years of neglect and abuse, clutching a drawing of his imagined hero, Muscle Knight. Reincarnated in the Black Ball Room, he recognized Gu Qing as that hero, and the two joined the Tokyo Team’s mission to hunt Oni Aliens in Ikebukuro.

• Kenji's mother and her violent boyfriend beat and neglected him, and Kenji died while holding his drawing of Muscle Knight.
• Gu Qing arrived in the Black Ball Room, where GANTZ printed Kenji's image and Kenji recognized Gu Qing as Muscle Knight.

• Gu Qing wandered through Ikebukuro with Kenji instead of hunting aliens, while Reika led newcomers to confront a disguised Oni Alien that transformed and attacked civilians.
• Reika pursued the wounded Oni Alien to a subway station, where she fought and defeated a group of more than a dozen Oni Aliens.
• Gu Qing urged Kenji to become strong and kill the aliens approaching their restaurant, then watched from a nearby rooftop as the boy faced them alone.

During the Ikebukuro Incident, Gu Qing tested Kenji, who overcame his fear, awakened his resolve to become Muscle Knight, and was healed and accepted as a disciple. Meanwhile, Inaba Kouki fled the Oni, was tricked into intimacy by the Shape-shifting Oni, and was left horrified when the alien escaped.

• The Black Ball Squad suffered heavy casualties as the three Evil Oni Cadres joined the battle and hunted the warriors.
• Gu Qing watched Kenji face several Oni Aliens, then killed Rock Oni when the cadre attacked him.
• Kenji unleashed the Combat Suit’s muscle state, defeated the Oni Aliens, and declared that he would become Muscle Knight rather than die helplessly.
• Gu Qing healed Kenji and introduced himself as the Myriad Magnetic Martial God, while Kenji took the name Muscle Knight.
• Inaba Kouki fled from Fire Oni and encountered what he believed was Reika, who seduced him in a shopping mall.

• Reika identified the false Kurono Kei and helped the squad expose the Shape-shifting Oni by shooting its disguised Enhanced Air Pressure Rifle.
• The Shape-shifting Oni transformed into a fly and killed several Black Ball Warriors before Kurono Kei arrived and severed its head.
• Kurono Kei led Reika and Uncle Suzuki to confront Thunder Oni, while Gu Qing and Kenji watched from an overpass.

After Kurono Kei died, Gu Qing trained Kenji and waited for the Higher Dimensional Being’s arrival, then discovered that a team from Reincarnation Hall had joined the Osaka mission. As the mission began, Gu Qing learned their objectives from Kosada Wataru’s thoughts, but Kosada’s head suddenly exploded.

• Kurono Kei died after killing Thunder Oni, and Reika vowed to revive him while Gu Qing and Kenji returned safely to the Black Ball Room.
• Gu Qing made Kenji his disciple, taught him Ultimate Immeasurable Qi Gong and Baji Quan, and watched Tokyo for signs of the Higher Dimensional Being as his system fell silent.

• Kenji discovered that fighting in his Combat Suit increased his Internal Energy, then faced the Elite Mud Field Ghost and was nearly eaten before Kurosawa Yuma cut off its arm and killed it.
• Shoda Haruto, Arai Reiko, and Hoshi Shun found the Osaka Team fighting the Elite Dojoji Bell, helped defeat it, and were contemptuously told to stay out of Osaka territory.

The Reincarnators and Self-Defense Forces fought the Alien Star People across Osaka while Gu Qing watched Nuppepo prepare a strange ritual. Nuppepo transformed into a young woman as Hana Ki-kyo aimed her Enhanced Air Pressure Rifle at him.

• Shimatsue Ryoko and Tsukimori Daigo killed Chokan, while Kuwahara Kazuo fought a Yuki-onna and Shoda Haruto’s companions intervened to save him.
• Kurosawa Yuma killed the Itsumade, then faced the General Class Alien Star People Great Tengu and Inugami as Shimatsue Ryoko and Tsukimori Daigo encountered Hannya and Momotaro.

• Hana Ki-kyo shot Nuppepo repeatedly, but Nuppepo regenerated, transformed, and destroyed the bridge with blazing rays before Hana Ki-kyo was killed by a counterattack.
• The Man with Glasses used Nuppepo’s surviving head to blast Alien Star People, then accidentally aimed its light at Gu Qing, who took the head and examined its power.

Kuwahara Kazuo rushed into Female Body Hell and was swallowed, and the chapter ended with Nuppepo transformed into Sheep Demon Form as Gu Qing grew impatient and Oka Hachiro watched from the shadows.

• Oka Hachiro escaped Gyuki’s assault in the Flying Motorcycle, used the Gorilla Suit to exploit Gyuki’s weakness, and defeated him.

Nuppepo then warped the world into an apparent Evil God Form, and Gu Qing discovered that his Magnetic Field Power had vanished.

• Gu Qing explained that Nuppepo could be harmed by attacks outside its experience or visual awareness, but let it evolve to test its limits.
• Nuppepo became a Phantom Body and unleashed explosions across Osaka, killing or injuring many civilians and catching Shoda Haruto's group in the attack.
• Gu Qing overwhelmed the Phantom Body with two hundred thousand horsepower, forcing Nuppepo to evolve into Metal Tide Form and imitate Magnetic Field Power.
• Gu Qing fought Metal Tide Form Nuppepo, then increased his strength to two hundred fifty thousand horsepower and shattered its metallic body.

Gu Qing defeated Nuppepo in its Unspeakable Form and returned to the Black Ball Room with the survivors, then left with Kenji. Shoda Haruto, Shimatsue Ryoko, and Kurosawa Yuma faced the Eastern Team’s promotion choices and decided to seek out Gu Qing and try to recruit him.

• Gu Qing overcame Nuppepo’s attempt to drain his power, reached four hundred thousand horsepower, and killed it with the God-Slaying Path.

The Boss Team entered the world to confront the spacetime intruder Gu Qing and stop the Horse-faced Aliens’ invasion. Homelander went after Gu Qing alone, but Gu Qing blocked his lasers and sent him crashing through a skyscraper before confronting him.

• Xiong Ba and the Boss Team received a mission to kill or drive away Gu Qing and help the Black Ball Squad defeat the Horse-faced Aliens, and Homelander volunteered to pursue Gu Qing.
• Xiong Ba sent Magneto after Homelander to protect him as the alien invasion devastated cities in America and Japan.
• Homelander killed a giant soldier near Gu Qing’s hotel, then killed a bearded civilian who accused him of failing to save the man’s daughter.
• Homelander recognized Gu Qing as a spacetime intruder and attacked him with laser beams, but Gu Qing blocked them and punched Homelander through a skyscraper.

Gu Qing fought Homelander and Magneto, but the Boss Team’s captain, Xiong Ba, pulled them away through a wormhole before Gu Qing could finish them. Afterward, Gu Qing discovered that Kenji was alive in outer space with the Tokyo Team and dozens of other Black Ball Warriors, who had been ordered to enter enemy territory.

• Homelander attacked Gu Qing, who overwhelmed him with a Sea Tiger Blast Punch and sent him crashing into a building.
• Magneto joined Homelander, and the two attacked Gu Qing with lasers, railgun-fired steel bars, and plasma beams while Gu Qing countered with magnetic defenses and heavenly sabers.
• Magneto triggered a nuclear fusion explosion to create an escape opportunity, but Gu Qing pursued them as they tried to flee through a miniature wormhole.

Jiang Yuyan and King Abhiraja pursued Kurono Kei to gain access to GANTZ and the Horse-faced Aliens' mothership, while Kojima Tae endured the invasion and was captured. The chapter ended with Kurono Kei spotting Tae aboard a departing transport ship, unable to reach her as he fled his pursuers.

• A leader detonated the nano-bombs of protesting Black Ball Warriors and forced the survivors to attack the Horse-faced Aliens' colonial ship, where they fought the aliens and captured one before teleporting back.
• Kenji helped stop the War God long enough for the Black Ball Warriors to escape, but Kurono Kei's teleportation malfunctioned and left him separated from Kojima Tae.
• Jiang Yuyan and King Abhiraja intercepted Kurono Kei and tried to seize him so they could use GANTZ to reach the alien mothership; Kurono Kei resisted and fired his Gravity Gun.
• Horse-faced Alien soldiers attacked the hotel where Kojima Tae and her classmates had taken shelter, killing most of them; Tae later found her mother among a pile of corpses, where a Bug Soldier shot her dead.
• Kojima Tae escaped the Bug Soldier but was captured by Horse-faced Alien soldiers and forced onto a transport ship.

Xiong Ba rescued Magneto and Homelander, then set out with Magneto to confront the stronger alternate Magneto while Alessa stayed behind. Aboard the Horse-faced Aliens' mothership, Kojima Tae escaped a human processing line with help from a dying man and reunited with Kurono Kei, while Jiang Yuyan and King Abhiraja began slaughtering aliens to draw out their leader.

• Xiong Ba healed Homelander's wounds, heard Magneto's account of their enemy's Magnetic Field Rotation, and left with Magneto to act personally.
• Kojima Tae and the other captives discovered the Horse-faced Aliens were processing humans as food, then escaped into the mothership's sewer tunnels.
• Kojima Tae and a middle-aged man reached the aliens' city, saw humans being eaten in a restaurant, and fled the guards into an alley.
• The wounded man died after telling Kojima Tae she reminded him of his daughter, and Kurono Kei arrived with Kenji to rescue her.
• Kurono Kei had GANTZ teleport him, Jiang Yuyan, and King Abhiraja to the mothership after agreeing to cooperate with them.
• King Abhiraja and Jiang Yuyan attacked and killed Horse-faced Alien civilians to draw out their War God.

Kenji returned to Tokyo after escaping the battle and learned that GANTZ could teleport only twice more, so he chose to accompany Kurono Kei to the Horse-faced Aliens' mothership. Gu Qing confronted Xiong Ba, rejected his offer to leave Earth, and their battle escalated as Gu Qing formed his Destruction War God to face Xiong Ba's three Aspects.

• Kenji told Gu Qing about the Horse-faced Aliens' invasion, and Gu Qing warned him to flee before more enemies returned.
• Kenji went to the Black Ball Room, where GANTZ revealed that the aliens had damaged the Main Unit and left only two teleportations; Kenji chose to go with Kurono Kei, Jiang Yuyan, and King Abhiraja to the mothership.
