If Mark's guess was correct, this Deoxys currently under his control was the second Deoxys to arrive in "Destiny Deoxys."

Mark had also formed some guesses about why this Deoxys had attacked Rayquaza.

There were probably two possibilities.

The first was a relatively better scenario, and it was also the plot from the Pokemon animated movie.

A meteor from outer space had arrived, and Rayquaza, seeking to protect its territory, smashed it apart. The Deoxys that had arrived alongside the meteor was smashed apart as well.

In the end, Deoxys's Crystal core fell somewhere on Earth Star's surface, possibly entering a dormant state.

During the process of shattering the meteor, Rayquaza's body became tainted with the aura of the other Deoxys.

That was why Deoxys had kept pursuing and attacking Rayquaza, suddenly appearing to attack it whenever it could. It believed its companion was with Rayquaza.

The second possibility was a relatively worse scenario.

The overall sequence was the same, but while destroying that meteor, Rayquaza might have directly killed the Deoxys inside, or perhaps even eaten the Deoxys within the meteor.

That was why Rayquaza had become tainted with Deoxys's aura and was continuously attacked by the other Deoxys.
