Having thought this through, Lan Run stopped hesitating.
"Articuno!"
At Lan Run's shout, Articuno cried out from deep within the jungle.
Hearing Articuno's call, Lan Run relaxed slightly and continued shouting, "Articuno, don't freeze Xerneas for now. Come back and help me save Red Fire first!"
Whoosh—
A white mist appeared. The plants before Lan Run froze solid, then shattered apart, and the blue bird emerged.
Lan Run nodded lightly. Articuno flapped its wings, sending a frigid wind toward the room where Red Fire was.
Sounds like shattering glass rang out in succession. Suicune leaped lightly, and in the blink of an eye, Lan Run had arrived at the passage leading to Red Fire's room.
Then—
Azure flames appeared, followed by a pair of Dragon Claws that tore apart the nearby plants.
Red Fire walked out of the passage. His arms, which had been like Dragon Claws, returned to normal and became ordinary arms again.
Red Fire looked around, then turned to Lan Run in confusion. "I remember I was supposed to return to Ideal Land. Why has Combat Training started so soon? Oh, right, Lan Run, did you join Combat Training too?"
Lan Run stared at Red Fire in disbelief, his face full of confusion.
Just now, Red Fire's hands seemed to have turned into black Dragon Claws. His entire arms had bulged with muscle, as though they had become dragon arms.
Lan Run frowned. "Red Fire, your arms?"
Red Fire looked at his arms in confusion, his expression equally puzzled. "My arms? They're perfectly fine. Was I poisoned or something? I shouldn't have been poisoned, right?"
As he spoke, Red Fire walked up to Lan Run. "I think I drank too much Memory Potion and got a little muddled. I even forgot about this round of Combat Training.
