Ch. 283The Masked Youth Mi Yang Reappears

Mark analyzed his Pokémon, discovered that Jirachi and Victini already possessed a Normalized State Activated State, and helped Caterpie learn two powerful moves. Despite neglecting match preparations while adjusting his Pokémon’s training, he led Hack Pokemon Academy into the Academy Cup quarterfinals, where he unexpectedly encountered the masked Youth Mi Yang.

  • Mark explained training methods to Caterpie and discovered that Golisopod’s Aura Activated State greatly increased its mental potential.
  • Mark told Jirachi and Victini that they might already possess a Normalized State Activated State, and assessed Little Zapdos and Nihilego’s potential to develop one.
  • Caterpie learned Primeval Devour and Final End Laser, and Mark evaluated both moves’ effects and limitations.
  • Mark spent several days adjusting his Pokémon’s training and reduced his own preparation, while Little Zapdos nearly collapsed from overtraining during a match.
  • Mark led Hack Pokemon Academy to victory in the round of sixteen after winning the first two matches and the deciding fifth match.
  • Mark returned to the Preparation Base at the Royal Battle Arena and unexpectedly encountered the masked Youth Mi Yang.

Ch. 284Did He Really Take Drugs?

Mi Yang returned to World Number Two earlier than expected and found that its events differed from his memories. Watching the Academy Cup broadcast, he saw his exhausted counterpart lose badly and heard people speculate that he had taken drugs.

  • Mi Yang confirmed that he had returned to World Number Two on January 15th, half a month before Celebi had predicted.
  • Mi Yang recalled escaping a World Number Five overrun by Ultra Beasts, where his Shiny Mega Gyarados and Weavile had been badly injured.
  • Mi Yang remembered his failed engagement to Xiao Nan and how Flaming's scheme had revealed his father's true nature.
  • Mi Yang noticed that the broadcast showed his counterpart's Weavile losing to Umbreon, contrary to his own memories.
  • Mi Yang watched his counterpart lose the match after performing poorly, and bystanders speculated that he had taken drugs.

Ch. 285A Familiar Figure

Mi Yang went to find treatment for his injured Red Gyarados and Weavile, but Mark offered to help and flew him to a base on Fallen Sky Mountain. There, Mi Yang encountered a familiar middle-aged man whose identity he could not remember.

  • Mi Yang recalled that a popular hallucinogenic drug came from the Fulos Empire and decided to save his younger self from becoming addicted, but first he needed to treat his injured Pokemon.
  • Unable to use an official Pokemon Center because he was unregistered in Hia, Mi Yang headed for the underground Pokemon Centers in West City.
  • Mark caught up with Mi Yang, offered to treat his Pokemon, and explained that his Pokemon Recovery Device was in Clear Stream Forest.
  • Mark released his Vikavolt Multi-Magnemite Aircraft and flew Mi Yang to the base on Fallen Sky Mountain at Mach 4.
  • Mi Yang saw a familiar middle-aged man lying before the base gates and staring at the clouds, but could not recall who he was.

Ch. 286Jirachi: I Must Be a Tank, Right?

Mi Yang entered Fallen Sky Mountain Base, where Mark introduced him to Jirachi and Victini, who had been searching for Celebi. Jirachi eagerly asked Mi Yang about its role in Pokemon Battle, but Mi Yang had not played the game in years and tried to explain that Jirachi had misunderstood something.

  • Mi Yang recalled his previous search for Jirachi at Fallen Sky Mountain and the failed efforts to find it.
  • John told Mark that a batch of switches needed replacing, and Mi Yang recognized the electrician as familiar.
  • Jirachi and Victini appeared and discovered that Celebi had sent Mi Yang to this point in time without coming along.
  • Mark offered Mi Yang a place to treat his Pokemon, while Mi Yang stared in surprise at Jirachi.
  • Jirachi asked Mi Yang when its Pokemon Battle character appeared and whether it should be a tank.
  • Mi Yang said he had not played Pokemon Battle since school seven years earlier and began to correct Jirachi, but Jirachi cut him off.

Ch. 287Flaming Has Already Been Captured

Mi Yang explained that he came from a parallel world and warned Mark about future disasters and Flaming’s planned rise to power. Mark revealed that he and Jirachi had already captured Flaming, prompting Mi Yang to rush toward the base gate.

  • Jirachi, Victini, and Leafeon asked Mi Yang whether Pokemon Battle’s servers would shut down, and he explained that a future Chaotic Pokemon Tide would destroy cities and games.
  • Mark suggested building backup game servers on Fallen Sky Mountain, and Mi Yang clarified that he came from a parallel world where Mark and Fallen Sky Mountain were different.
  • Mi Yang warned that Hia would face turmoil and Flaming would seize power, then asked Mark to intercept and secretly swap a package in Manzhou Province.
  • Mi Yang explained that the package contained Flaming’s letter and a special Thunder Stone intended to help Quinn attack the Pokemon Alliance headquarters.
  • Mark told Mi Yang that he and Jirachi had already captured Flaming and that Ling Liushu was guarding him.
  • Mi Yang was stunned to learn Flaming was at the base gate, then hurried there.

Ch. 288Split Personality

Mi Yang found his father Flaming lying in the Fallen Sky Mountain base, but Flaming suddenly attacked him and took him hostage. Mark subdued Flaming, explained that the Memory Potion and the Heart of Strength Plan had left him with unstable split personalities, and restored him to a hypnotized laboratory assistant, leaving Mi Yang stunned that Mark could control his father.

  • Mi Yang approached Flaming despite Ling Liushu's warning that Flaming's emotions were unstable.
  • Flaming used a pale green glow to disorient Mi Yang, then appeared behind him and seized him by the throat.
  • Mark struck Flaming unconscious and received Memory Potion and a silver gun from Ling Liushu.
  • Mark explained that Flaming's personalities alternated between aggression and listlessness, and that Memory Potion temporarily suppressed his memories and stabilized his emotions.
  • Mark healed Flaming's face, hypnotized him, and watched him wake as a laboratory assistant who called Mi Yang his son.
  • Mi Yang watched Flaming follow Ling Liushu into the base and wondered how Mark had managed to control his father.

Ch. 289The Best Way to Eliminate Disaster

Mi Yang explained that he wanted to gather allies across parallel worlds and overthrow his father Flaming’s brutal rule, but Mark argued that Xia’s corrupt system would produce new tyrants even if Flaming were stopped. Mark proposed changing history by warning Emperor Arthur, then concluded that greater strength was the best way to face future disasters.

  • Jirachi asked Mi Yang about Celebi and Victini asked whether it defeated many bad guys in his future, but Mi Yang could not answer either question.
  • Jirachi pressured Leafeon to reveal that it wanted to know whether it died in Mi Yang’s world, and Mark comforted Leafeon while warning it not to let Jirachi bully it.
  • Mark told Mi Yang that Xia’s corruption and the World Pokemon Alliance’s weakening influence were the deeper causes of the coming disaster, and Mi Yang described his plan to stop Flaming with help from other parallel worlds.
  • Mi Yang explained Celebi’s time-travel requirements and his recent travels, including a parallel world filled with Ultra Beasts.
  • Mark suggested that Mi Yang could use regret about Emperor Arthur to travel back 150 years and warn him, but said that would not fix the underlying problems.
  • Jirachi declared that becoming stronger was the answer and urged Mi Yang to help Mark and improve his own strength.

Ch. 290It Really Was Time to Get Stronger

Mi Yang questioned whether Jirachi should become stronger, and Mark explained that relying on its wishes was far less efficient than building its strength. After learning about Mi Yang’s grim future, Mark decided to add a Point during the Academy Cup and began considering which of Jirachi’s abilities to improve.

  • Mi Yang reconsidered Jirachi’s wish-granting power as a way to prevent disasters, then recognized Little Zapdos as Mark’s Fighting-type Zapdos and spotted Nihilego perched on Jirachi’s head.
  • Mark explained that Jirachi’s Small Wishes consumed far more energy than ordinary abilities, making strength a more efficient way to defeat threats.
  • Mark checked his Spirit Control Panel and estimated that John, George, Zhao Xiaoya, and their bonded Pokemon had helped his Experience Bar progress rapidly.
  • Mark decided he would add a Point during the Academy Cup despite the risk of side effects, while still intending to compete.
  • Mark favored adding a Point to Jirachi and considered improving its Telekinesis or Serene Grace, while Jirachi wanted to strengthen its Steel-type abilities.

Ch. 291Legendary Tree and Mew

Mark learned that Aya would meet Lucario, find Mew, and die while helping heal it, so he began training Mi Yang to prepare for those events. After two and a half days of training, Mi Yang suddenly disappeared.

  • Mark considered using stat points to study Jirachi's power, Bond Evolution, or Aya's Aura Power, but worried about the risks of training Aya in the Stat Point Dream World.
  • Mi Yang told Mark that Aya would meet Lucario, discover the Legendary Tree and Mew, and die alongside Lucario while trying to heal Mew.
  • Mi Yang released Aya's Raichu, and Mark learned it was Veteran-level but had little battle experience and no usable aura.
  • Mi Yang said Mew had granted Yan Yong Aura Power, and Mark revealed that Aya's Lucario was already with her and beginning to regain its memories.
  • Mark arranged repeated Combat Training for Mi Yang, Flaming, and Aya; after two and a half days, Mi Yang suddenly vanished.

Ch. 292Gym Leader Qian, Beyond Measure (Part 1)

After three days of Combat Training in World Number Two Parallel, Mi Yang was transported with his Pokémon to the Fifth Parallel World, where they defeated two Buzzwole with ease. He realized his battle skills had improved and planned to seek out Gym Leader Qian, whose Machamp had effortlessly countered his team’s attacks.

  • Mi Yang contacted Shiny Celebi and was transported to the Fifth Parallel World, where Celebi asked him to hold out for twenty minutes.
  • Mi Yang and his Pokémon fought two Buzzwole, using their practiced tactics to defeat them while several other Buzzwole withdrew.
  • Mi Yang realized that his battle skills had improved after three days of Combat Training with Mark and the others, then dry-heaved with his Pokémon as they took stock of the transfer.
  • Mi Yang told Shiny Celebi about Mark and Gym Leader Qian, whose Machamp had effortlessly defended against his team during training.
  • Mi Yang suggested looking for Gym Leader Qian when they returned home or traveled to another parallel world.

Ch. 293Unfathomable Gym Leader Qian (Part 2)

After waking from his hangover, Old Man Qian pieced together Mark’s warnings about Hia’s civil unrest and a coming worldwide Chaotic Pokemon Tide, then began preparing Clear Stream Village. Meanwhile, the Mewtwo Commerce Association and Hack Pokemon Academy made offers that left him wondering why they were treating him as though he held the advantage, while Lilith arrived in the village in hiding.

  • Old Man Qian recalled Mark’s warnings and learned that Doctor Locke was improving the Memory Potion and had sent a thousand bottles to Clear Stream Village.
  • Old Man Qian read the contract with the Mewtwo Commerce Association and wondered why its terms seemed to favor him.
  • Cai Ergou told Old Man Qian that preparations were ready to build a defensive line against the Chaotic Pokemon Tide.
  • Dean Cao visited Old Man Qian, who became a branch dean after Hack Pokemon Academy proposed opening a branch and Experiment Base in Clear Stream Village.
  • Lilith told her companions to stop calling her Princess and said she hoped hiding in Clear Stream Village would make her pursuers restrain themselves.

Ch. 294Gym Leader Qian Displays His Power

Old Man Qian used Mark’s plan to open an entrance to Miao Miao Mountain and bring thousands of obedient Venusaur into Clear Stream Forest to strengthen the defense line. Back at home, he struggled to make sense of his powerful new Pokemon and found Leafeon in tears, suspecting Jirachi had bullied it again.

  • Old Man Qian learned that Mark could not return from Riel City, where he was taking promotional photos, but had devised a way to speed up and strengthen the defense line.
  • Following Mark’s instructions, Old Man Qian contacted Bulbasaur Sage and opened an entrance to Miao Miao Mountain using Clear Stream Power.
  • Thousands of Venusaur, including some with Heavenly King-level combat power, came through the entrance and obeyed Old Man Qian’s commands.
  • Old Man Qian casually captured the strongest Venusaur, then learned Bulbasaur Sage had hung up because it was playing a ranked match.
  • The giant Venusaur ate Old Man Qian’s Fish Head Naan and its plate, while Leafeon arrived looking miserable and cried in Old Man Qian’s arms after he asked if Jirachi had bullied it.

Ch. 295Leafeon Joins the Team

Old Man Qian visited Clear Stream Village’s new residents and discovered that Leafeon could heal Phione’s mysterious poisoning. After suggesting Leafeon become Mark’s Pokemon, Mark sensed something from afar as Leafeon reconsidered the idea.

  • Leafeon complained to Old Man Qian about Jirachi and recalled the transmigrator Mi Yang, the Hia Kingdom’s unrest, and the coming Chaotic Pokemon Tide.
  • News spread that Qian had summoned thousands of powerful Venusaur to build a defensive line in Clear Stream Forest, alarming Princess Lilith’s group.
  • Qian visited Lilith’s residence and heard the pain of an injured Pokemon, leading him to Phione, whose body had been corroded by an unknown toxin.
  • Leafeon fed Phione fruit and woke it from its unconscious state, reuniting it with Lilith.
  • Qian suggested that Leafeon could take Mark as its new owner, and Mark sensed Leafeon’s name flash on his Spirit Control Panel in Royal Capital Riel.

Ch. 296Leafeon Is Better Suited to Be a Tank

Mark reviewed Leafeon’s abilities and found that its strengths suited it to being a tank, but he kept its current training plan because of its timid personality. After studying advanced Pokemon training methods, Mark paused Aya’s Combat Training and took her back to Clear Stream Forest to begin something important.

  • Mark inspected Leafeon’s information panel and learned that Xerneas’s influence had boosted its life-related abilities and potential.
  • Mark decided Leafeon could excel as a tank, but kept its existing arrangement because it was unsuited to battle.
  • Mark studied three Master and Heavenly King-level Pokemon training documents and gained inspiration as his Experience Bar rose to 99%.
  • Aya finished filming and asked Mark whether they would resume Combat Training, but he told her they would pause for the day.
  • Mark took Aya back to Clear Stream Forest, saying it was time to begin something important.

Ch. 297Mark Backed Down

Mark gave in to Jirachi’s request to allocate points to Iron Defense, drawing himself and his friends into the Stat Point Dream World. As his memories of the dream began to fade, Mark sealed them away and entrusted Jirachi with helping him recover them later.

  • Mark agreed to allocate points to Jirachi’s Iron Defense after she begged him to strengthen her Steel-type power.
  • Mark used Analysis on Jirachi and allocated the points, causing him and the bonded John, George, and Aya to enter the Stat Point Dream World.
  • John, Aya, and George tried to learn Iron Defense themselves before Mark persuaded them to guide their Pokemon as well.
  • Mark realized his memories of the dream were fading faster, then sealed them away and asked Jirachi to help him recall them later.

Ch. 298An Unexpected Way to Train Iron Defense (Part 1)

Mark analyzed how different Pokémon could train Iron Defense based on their bodies and concluded that Jirachi could train through both its Dormant Cocoon and its Steel typing. He began outlining three broad Iron Defense training categories, leaving the explanation unfinished.

  • Mark examined Iron Defense used by Golisopod, Butterfree, Caterpie, Squirtle, and Vikavolt, and grouped them as Pokémon whose training relied on their outer armor or earlier forms.
  • Mark divided those Pokémon into full-body armor, partial armor, and pupation types, then suggested Jirachi might also belong to the pupation type.
  • Mark proposed that Jirachi train Iron Defense by sensing the crystal shell of its Dormant Cocoon, which formed when Jirachi fell asleep.
  • Jirachi explained that it fell asleep about once every four months, so Mark said it could sense the cocoon forming three times a year and train in other ways between sleeps.
  • Mark identified Steel-type Pokémon, shell-type Pokémon, and other Pokémon as the three major Iron Defense training categories, noting that Steel-types had the easiest training.

Ch. 299An Unexpected Iron Defense Training Method (Part 2)

Mark explained Iron Defense training to Jirachi and the other Pokémon, then decided that space would be the best place for Jirachi to develop its Steel-type power. After preparing space gear, Mark and Jirachi traveled aboard the Vikavolt Multi-Magnemite Aircraft and reached space.

  • Mark explained how Steel-type Pokémon trained Iron Defense and realized he could study Steel-type energy through his Multi-Magnemite arm.
  • Mark introduced the Solosis-inspired visualization method to Pokémon less suited to Iron Defense, while Jirachi imagined itself with a muscular steel body.
  • Mark decided that Jirachi should train Iron Defense in space, reasoning that its meteor origins made space ideal for developing its Steel-type power.
  • Mark obtained an oxygen tank and sealed helmet at Fallen Sky Mountain Base with Jirachi's Small Wish.
  • Mark and Jirachi ascended in the Vikavolt Multi-Magnemite Aircraft, switching to ordinary Magnet Pull and Jirachi's Telekinesis when the magnetic field weakened.
  • After an hour and a half, Mark and Jirachi arrived in space.

Ch. 300Meteor

Mark and Jirachi trained Iron Defense in space before testing whether Jirachi’s Dormant Cocoon could survive a meteor-like fall. Jirachi awakened with no recovered memories, and Mark took it back into space to continue training.

  • Jirachi saw the planet from space but could not remember ever being there, while Mark sensed that the universe around them seemed blurry and unstable.
  • Mark and Jirachi trained Iron Defense outside the atmosphere for two and a half months, using the universe’s starlight-related Steel-type power.
  • When Jirachi entered its Dormant Cocoon, Mark pushed it toward the planet, and it fell as a meteor that struck near Clear Stream Forest without damaging the Cocoon.
  • Mark performed the Awakening Ritual, and Jirachi said it had sensed the Cocoon forming but remembered nothing of its fall, though its weakened body had recovered somewhat.
  • Mark studied other Pokémon’s Iron Defense training for a day, then took Jirachi back into space.

Ch. 301First Encounter

After fifty years of training in the Stat Point Dream World, Mark and Jirachi emerged as the world collapsed, and Jirachi drew a shower of starlight and Cosmic Power into Clear Stream Lake. Mark and Jirachi set out to explore space, but an unknown green Dragon-type Pokémon appeared beyond the atmosphere and sent them crashing back down, injured.

  • Over the decades in the Stat Point Dream World, George, Aya, John, and most of Mark’s Pokémon vanished, while Mark and Jirachi continued training Iron Defense.
  • After fifty years, Jirachi broke through with Iron Defense, and Mark and Jirachi decided to chase a comet before the Stat Point Dream World shattered.
  • Starlight and Cosmic Power poured down at Clear Stream Lake, and Jirachi, Mark’s Vikavolt Multi-Magnemite arm, and Caterpie absorbed some of it.
  • John asked Mark whether Jirachi had caused the years they had experienced, but Mark remained focused on the sky and then proposed that he and Jirachi travel into space.
  • Mark, Jirachi, and Caterpie flew aboard the Vikavolt Multi-Magnemite Aircraft, but a green Dragon-type Pokémon appeared beyond the atmosphere and they fell back down covered in wounds.

Ch. 302Jirachi's Eye of Truth Is Broken?

Mark, Jirachi, and Caterpie survived Rayquaza’s attack in space but were badly injured and unable to use most of their powers. After their Pokémon escaped their Poké Balls and helped treat them, Jirachi took the SLR Camera from the bulge in its stomach.

  • Rayquaza attacked Mark, Jirachi, Caterpie, and the Magnet Pokémon as they arrived in space, broke through their defenses, and sent them falling back to the ground.
  • Mark coughed up blood and Rayquaza’s Dragon-type power as he struggled to move, while Caterpie crawled out from beneath him and helped free Pokémon from his vibrating Poké Balls.
  • Golisopod emerged first and gathered the scattered Magnet Pokémon, while Victini used V-Create to fight the Dragon-type power inside Mark.
  • Butterfree, Little Zapdos, and Nihilego also broke free, and Leafeon joined Butterfree to treat Mark, Caterpie, and Jirachi with Life Fruit juice.
  • Mark and Jirachi managed to sit up, and Jirachi opened the eyelid on its stomach and took out the SLR Camera.
