The sudden gunfire crackled like firecrackers. Bullets whizzed wildly through the night, and flames shot into the sky, tearing apart the freezing darkness like a bugle call from hell.

Unlike those "hyenas" lurking among the ruins, these raiders were not only well-trained but also armed with Legion weapons. Their firepower was exceptionally fierce.

Besides bolt-action breechloader rifles, they carried automatic weapons and even five or six light machine guns!

Although Wrench led his men bravely onto the wall as soon as the battle began, he still felt tremendous pressure in the face of over a hundred raiders and their overwhelming firepower.

Without trenches to support them, a single wall simply could not stop so many enemies.
