A thin grayish-green mist hung over the streets, obscuring anything too far away.
Even so, he could still clearly make out a faint ring of dark red traces crawling around the middle of that hundred-story building.
According to the marker on the VM map, the hundred-story building was called the "New Era Data Center." A nearby subway station had even been named after it.
Two hundred years ago, this place must have been bustling.
The three rookie players beside him also took out their binoculars and looked toward the building across from them.
Battlefield Atmosphere Team muttered.
"Looks like the forty-first floor."
Wo Zui Hei's heart stirred.
"Could that be the mother nest?"
Battlefield Atmosphere Team looked toward the rookie on their team.
"You're an Agility build. Why don't you go take a look?"
Zhang Hai immediately refused.
"No way! That's obviously a suicide mission! I'm not going. If anyone's going, you go yourself."
Wo Zui Hei shook his head and sighed.
"Newbies these days are way too timid."
Zhang Hai rolled his eyes. "The hell are you acting like some big-shot veteran for? You're only one version ahead of me. Aren't you embarrassed?"

Commander Fountain opened his VM, compared the information with the database, and read softly.
"A mutated incubation chamber takes on a dark red color. Its spore release rate increases, and nearby slime mold mutants will instinctively gather toward the chamber. Some will actively enter it, becoming nutrients that allow the incubation chamber to continue expanding its fungal carpet..."
