"Are you a bottomless pit?!"
Dolly stared wide-eyed at the mess covering the table.
A skewer of grilled lizard meat as long as a forearm and as thick as two fingers, piled high with charred red tail meat, cost three chips.
She was already full after eating one skewer, yet this guy had eaten four whole skewers!
Dolly's gaze could not help drifting downward.
She wanted to know where exactly all that food had gone?!
"Didn't you tell me not to hold back?"
Fang Chang calmly wiped his mouth with a napkin, savoring the expression on her face for a moment.
After considering it for a moment, he continued with his critique.
"The flavor really was just average. It was nowhere near as good as what we have back home."
The lizard meat seemed to have been imported from the south. He had heard there were farms down there that raised edible lizards.
There was crocodile meat too, and it tasted about the same as chicken.
Still, the prices here really were not cheap. Such a simple dinner had somehow cost twenty chips already.
Fang Chang could not help thinking that opening an Old Street Barbecue joint in Boulder City would probably make quite a bit of money.
Although most residents here could not afford that kind of spending, mercenaries could certainly pay for it.
Looking at the pile of wooden skewers on the plates, Dolly's mouth twitched as she painfully reached into her pocket.
However, Fang Chang had already tossed a green twenty-five-chip token onto the waiter's tray.
"...Bring us two more beers and another lizard skewer. Keep the change."
"...Certainly, sir." Looking at the green chip on the tray, the waiter silently rolled his eyes.
Keep the change, my ass.
There was not going to be any change
