Its rotten-wood-like body let out a laugh that sounded like sandpaper scraping against a wall.
The Mother Deathclaw sprawled across the hall watched the players standing before it and said those words in a relaxed tone.
Surprisingly, although it had used the word "traitors" to describe Yong Shi, there was little hatred for betrayal in its voice.
It had lived for more than a century, perhaps even longer. Over the long river of time, it had witnessed too many births and deaths and had long since made peace with the past.
Wei Ba tilted his head and asked in confusion.
"Traitors?"
"That was more than a century ago. Our past could fill a television series hundreds of hours long... You wouldn't be interested." The Mother Deathclaw spoke slowly and evenly.
"If you mean that guy calling himself Yong Shi... I did kill it." Si Si glanced at the VM on her arm and continued.
"Also, by the time I realized it, the administrator permissions were already with me... I'd like to know, are these permissions bound to the VM?"
After she killed Yong Shi, a special signal indicator suddenly appeared in the upper-right corner of her VM. Once she selected the connection, it unlocked access to the vault system.
Including opening and closing corridor doors.
Including adjusting the ventilation systems in each area.
And the cameras in every room.
It was like a console in an RPG, to the point that she had briefly thought she had discovered a bug and accidentally unlocked "developer mode."
However, after experimenting with it, she quickly discovered that these permissions were not as miraculous as she had imagined.
At least, they were not
