Several missiles shot from the Batplane, accurately striking Steppenwolf's hiding place and erupting in a violent explosion.

The fierce explosion clearly enraged the Steppenwolf hiding inside. With an angry roar, he emerged from behind the collapsed wall, carrying a massive axe.
Steppenwolf was an enormously burly alien, with bull-like horns on his head. He looked like a demon from human mythology—hideous and terrifying. At least three meters tall and powerfully built, he held an exceptionally sharp axe in his hand. Everything about him screamed trouble.
To be honest, as a New God of Apokolips, Steppenwolf was incredibly powerful. He was undoubtedly stronger than everyone in the Justice League present.
Otherwise, he could never have seized the Mother Box from the fully armed Paradise Island and Atlantis.
Though his surprise attack had certainly played a part, Steppenwolf's own strength had been an absolutely crucial factor as well.
