"Heh, you think I'd believe that?"
Darkseid was startled at first. After all, what had happened earlier was still fresh in his mind. He was stronger than those Kryptonians, but if more than ten Kryptonians ganged up on him, even he could not take it!
If there really were hundreds or thousands of people about as strong as the Kryptonian before him, then he would inevitably repeat his past mistake—getting ganged up on again, only this time much worse.
There had only been a little over ten Kryptonians before, yet now hundreds or thousands had suddenly appeared. Wouldn't they beat him into submission?
But Darkseid suddenly came to his senses. If Earth truly possessed such powerful forces, would he have been able to casually slaughter hundreds of millions of people?
So much time had passed, yet none of those people had shown themselves. The other side was probably just bragging.
"Impossible, absolutely impossible. If Earth had so many powerful warriors, its legends would have spread throughout the multiverse long ago. How could things be like this now?"
Darkseid simply refused to believe it. This boast was far too exaggerated. If Clark had said there were around ten warriors as powerful as him, Darkseid might have actually believed it and become more cautious, perhaps even kept his head down. But hundreds or thousands?
That was the flaw. Anyone who believed it was an idiot!
"..."
For a moment, Clark did not know how to explain himself. How could no one believe the truth these days?
"Enough nonsense, Kryptonian. Today is the day you die. No one can save you! I said so!"
With a wave of his hand, Darkseid floated to the same height as Clark and glared at him viciously. "Not just you Kryptonians. I will slaughter every single person
