Darkseid naturally could not believe Chen Mu's claim that he had learned it with a single glance. Instead, he began speculating and quickly came up with a reasonable explanation.
"Only the other half of the Anti-Life Equation could possibly be stronger than the one I possess!"
Obviously, Darkseid attributed the reason Chen Mu was stronger than him to the Anti-Life Equation.
He was purely deceiving himself.
Of course, Chen Mu could not even be bothered to respond to Darkseid's guess. Superman Clark also became fearless and flew over to Chen Mu's side.
"Why didn't you come out sooner?"
Seeing Chen Mu appear, Superman Clark no longer had any worries. He merely shot him a resentful look and said irritably.
"Come out sooner? What do you mean, sooner?"
Chen Mu glanced at Superman Clark and said calmly, "I only just got here. How could I have come earlier?"

Although he had no proof, Clark was certain that Chen Mu had been watching from nearby all along, just standing there and watching him get beaten without offering any help. That was simply too much!
But there was nothing more to say now. As long as Chen Mu had appeared, Clark could be sure that he was safe.
Superman Clark understood Chen Mu's strength very well and knew that Darkseid could never be his opponent.
