Sea Yaksha was not really a monster that liked eating people. Or rather, in Chen Tang Pass, monsters that liked eating people had basically all been wiped out by Li Jing and his wife.
The ones who had survived, like him, were merely small fry. Sea Yaksha had never had the nerve to eat anyone, but now that he had been pushed into a corner, he decided to eat the little girl right in front of Nezha and Ao Bing.

Nezha flew into a rage and wanted to rush over and kill Sea Yaksha, but someone was faster than him.
Ao Bing charged toward Sea Yaksha. He treated the bubbles floating through the air as if they were nothing, nimbly dodging them with ease before quickly arriving in front of Sea Yaksha.
Under Sea Yaksha's stunned gaze, Ao Bing drove a vicious punch into his stomach. The immense force made Sea Yaksha's stomach churn, and the little girl he had just swallowed was immediately vomited back out.
That punch made Sea Yaksha feel as though he saw his great-grandmother beckoning to him.
After rescuing the little girl, Ao Bing caught her and held her in his arms. Fortunately, she was unharmed and had not died.
Unfortunately, the little girl was covered in Sea Yaksha's saliva, and it rubbed off onto Ao Bing as well. Ao Bing's body rapidly began to petrify. Before long, only half his head remained unchanged, while the rest of him had become like a stone statue.
