"A smartphone is indeed a good direction."
Tony nodded thoughtfully. He had just shut down the weapons division and hadn't found a new focus yet, so this presented a new avenue.
"The China market? That's certainly good."
Tony easily guessed Obadiah's thoughts and found himself in agreement.
Of course, Tony had his own considerations before this. His plan, as depicted in the movies, was clean energy.
He intended to improve the Arc Reactor technology to generate controllable and cleaner energy.
Simply put, he wanted to transform Stark Industries into an energy company. Stark Energy would be cleaner, more productive, and more stable than nuclear power!
With this technology, Stark's market value would soar, surpassing its previous standing. Even after closing the weapons division, Stark Industries didn't falter.
"Mr. Tony, it's an honor to meet you."
Chen Mu extended his hand to Tony with a smile.
In front of Chen Mu, there was an interface displaying the "Portable Arc Reactor" technology. In essence, it was the reactor in Tony's chest, Iron Man's energy core!
However, since he hadn't made physical contact with Tony yet, the resolution was stuck at 99%. He needed to touch Tony to obtain the complete technology.
"Mm, nice to meet you."
Tony, however, didn't seem particularly interested in shaking hands. He simply nodded indifferently and stated, "For the specific cooperation matters, I'll have Potts talk to you."
Having just built the Mark 1 armor, Tony was still the arrogant playboy he was. He didn't pay much attention to Chen Mu, this seemingly very young Chinese man.
Frankly, even with future "superheroes," Tony didn't hold the Eastern country in high regard.
Prejudice against China had always existed in America.
What's more, Tony wasn't "Iron Man" yet!
"Okay, sure."
Chen Mu gave an awkward smile and retracted his hand. It didn't matter if they didn't shake hands. With 99% resolution, plus the complete data for the large Arc Reactor, Chen Mu could still manufacture it. He could even leverage Huaqiangbei's capabilities to upgrade and modify it, so he didn't dwell on it too much.
However, being looked down upon really irked him!
Tony Stark, you just wait!
Before long, I'll make you regret this moment!
"More importantly, I want to know why you shut down the weapons division? It's currently Stark's most profitable project!"
Obadiah asked with a frown, then glanced curiously at the massive Arc Reactor before looking at Tony.
"Could it be?"
"That's right, it won't be our most profitable project anymore."
Tony nodded, glancing at Chen Mu beside him. It was clear he was trying to dismiss Chen Mu. His focus was shifting to the energy industry, which was a commercial secret for the time being and not suitable for others to know.
Especially not an outsider like Chen Mu.
"Well then, I should be going. Goodbye, Mr. Obadiah, and Mr. Tony."
Chen Mu was perceptive. Seeing them look at him, he understood their intention. He bid them farewell and turned to leave.
He finally understood why the villain in Iron Man 3 was so determined to kill Tony. This guy was just too arrogant and condescending!
Most people couldn't tolerate his personality.
Especially his pre-Iron Man persona; not many could handle it!
"Xiao Ai, research the Arc Reactor technology. With 99% resolution of the small reactor, can we build a small reactor?"
"No problem. We can build it even now, and its performance won't be inferior to Tony's reactor."
Tony's current reactor was only the first generation, built in a cave with limited resources, making it quite crude. If nothing unexpected happened, Tony would soon build another reactor, but the technology would be the same, with no significant difference.
"How long will the technological breakthrough take?"
"It will only take one day. Shall we proceed with the technological breakthrough?"
"Start it, Xiao Ai."
After leaving the reactor lab, Chen Mu was led by a Stark employee towards the administrative office. He was going to find Potts, or Little Pepper. Tony delegated most of Stark's affairs to her. Therefore, both "toy appearance authorization" and the "smartphone project" required discussions with her.
In short, in the Marvel World, Chen Mu didn't pay too much attention to business matters. After "giving up" a lot, he successfully obtained what he wanted.
Stark Industries granted him free authorization for the appearance of all weapons it produced, to avoid future disputes when he manufactured his own products.
Furthermore, Chen Mu wasn't too concerned about the smartphone project, so Stark took the lion's share, much to Little Pepper Potts' satisfaction.
Anyway, this project hadn't even started, and the headaches would be passed on to her father.
In conclusion, Chen Mu had obtained everything he desired from this visit to Stark Industries!
Following Hammer Industries, the unfortunate Stark Industries had all its technology fall into Chen Mu's hands, including the small Arc Reactor that Tony had just developed.
"Come to think of it, among the powerful American arms dealers, there's also Osborn Industries? Wasn't Spider-Man's mutation researched there?"
However, little Spider-Man hadn't appeared yet, so going there wouldn't be of much use.
"Although Spider-Man's abilities are very tempting, at this time, Peter Parker, Spider-Man, is still just a kid..."
The first appearance of Spider-Man would be during the events of Captain America 2, which was quite a long time from now, at least five or six years. Little Spider-Man should only be around ten years old now and definitely not Spider-Man yet. Going to Osborn Industries would be pointless.
"So, I'll just wait until I get back. It shouldn't be long before Tony builds the real Iron Man armor!"
This was Chen Mu's ultimate goal: to directly analyze Iron Man's technology and slip in during the chaos when Obadiah and Tony fought!
