Mark 2

"Is this it? Why does it look a little different from the armor I saw online?"

Tony brought Chen Mu to the lab and led him before a suit of Iron Armor. Chen Mu looked at it and asked curiously.

The suit was pure silver-white, without any paintwork. It was Mark 2. Chen Mu naturally recognized it, but he had to pretend he did not.

"This is Mark II, an upgraded version of my armor. As for the paintwork, I just haven't had time to add it yet. I'll give it some color later."

Tony said this without batting an eye. He certainly would not admit that the armor he was letting Chen Mu try on was one he had already phased out. Keeping it here was, to him, merely a matter of collectibility.

Tony had even remade the Mark 1 prototype and placed it in his collection room—the bulky armor he had built in that cave.

Mark 2, meanwhile, was the first armor he had formally built. He had flown through the skies in it for the first time. The armor he currently used was Mark 3, which had fixed many of its problems and, of course, was the first to feature his favorite red-and-gold paint scheme—the iconic Iron Man armor.

Originally, Tony had not had a "collector's habit." But after Obadiah ambushed him and took his Arc Reactor, nearly killing him, the Arc Reactor that Little Pepper had kept instead of throwing away saved his life. That was when he developed the habit of keeping old armor. Who knew whether something might go wrong in the future? It was always good to have a backup.

"I see. Still, honestly, armor without paintwork seems even cooler!"

Chen Mu nodded, looking as though he believed him.

"Then go try it on. Jarvis, suit Mr. Chen Mu up in Mark 2."

Tony gave Jarvis the order directly, then gestured for Chen Mu to step onto the fitting platform.

At this point, the Iron Armor fitting equipment was far more primitive than later models, but it had the strongest mechanical feel. Chen Mu stood on the platform as mechanical arms extended from every direction, disassembled Mark 2, and swiftly fitted it onto him.

In less than a minute, Chen Mu had already put on the Mark 2 armor and was standing on the platform.

"How is it?"

Tony watched the scene with a smile and asked.

To be honest, if Chen Mu had not said he was an Iron Man fan, Tony might not have let him try on the armor at all.

"This is incredible. It feels so advanced!"

Looking at the virtual display before him, Chen Mu marveled repeatedly. Tony truly was a genius; the Iron Armor was simply astonishing.

"Can I try flying?"

Chen Mu did not have the authority to command Jarvis, so he could only ask.

"Of course. Jarvis, take Mr. Chen Mu for a lap outside."

Tony agreed generously. He was only letting Chen Mu fly around for a bit; he was not so stingy as to refuse.

"Yes, sir."

After Jarvis spoke, the wall behind Chen Mu opened, revealing open air outside. Before he could react, the armor had already carried him into the air and flown out through the window, swiftly circling Stark Tower once.

Mark 2 armor, analysis progress: 100%.

Portable Arc Reactor, analysis progress: 100%.

Jarvis intelligent program, analysis progress: 100%.

Killing three birds with one stone, Chen Mu was overjoyed.

"This is absolutely awesome!"

Mark II returned inside the building and landed on the platform. The mechanical arms quickly removed the armor from Chen Mu. Still looking reluctant to stop, Chen Mu said excitedly.

He truly was excited. He had only pretended to be a Tony fan, yet he had unexpectedly obtained three technologies he had dreamed of in one go!

He had finally gotten his hands on the Iron Man armor. Though it was only Mark 2, it was not actually that different from Mark 3. The differences were mainly some changed materials, an anti-icing system, and the weapons system. There was not much else.

What Chen Mu had not expected was that Mark II actually had an Arc Reactor as well!

But it made sense. Tony had kept Mark 2 not only as a collectible, but also for emergencies. Naturally, he had installed an Arc Reactor in it.

And if Chen Mu remembered correctly, this Mark 2 was the armor Tony would later give to his friend, Colonel Rhodey—the future War Machine.

Rhodey did not have an Arc Reactor on him, so it was only natural that Mark 2 had one.

As for the Jarvis system? Could it be because Tony had copied one into every suit of armor?

In any case, Chen Mu had obtained every technology he wanted from this one experience!

Xiao Ai, begin researching breakthroughs in Mark 2's technology.

Having obtained the technology, Chen Mu impatiently ordered Xiao Ai to begin researching breakthroughs. This way, he could even create armor more advanced than Tony's Mark 3!

"It's good that you like it."

Tony nodded and said, "Come on. I'll show you around New York, and tonight I'll be holding a party. I'll invite all kinds of media outlets and take the opportunity to promote our new phone!"

"Oh, right. The Jarvis intelligent program in the phone definitely can't be called Jarvis. Do you have any plans? What should it be called?"

"What should it be called? Let me think... Let's just call it 'Siri.'"

"Siri? Hmm, that sounds pretty good."

Tony nodded, seemingly approving of the name.

If it had been a particularly Chinese-style name, he definitely would have refused. But with "Siri," he had no reason to object.

So Tony warmly put an arm around Chen Mu's shoulder and headed for the elevator.

They had already done what needed to be done, and Chen Mu had gotten his "thrill." Now it was time to get down to business.

Tony might have seemed uninterested in money, but as a financial genius, how could he possibly not love it?

Wasn't that why, after planning to shut down the weapons division, he had immediately begun looking for a new industry?

It was just that, with Chen Mu now involved and Obadiah trying to use mobile phones to enter the Chinese market, a series of coincidences had allowed Tony to see the future potential of the phone industry. He was merely preparing to get a piece of it.

And Chen Mu had produced a decent product, which was why Tony had started to see this young partner in a new light and gave him a measure of recognition.

But if Tony knew that Chen Mu had simply worn Mark 2 once and then taken several of his technologies, would he be so furious that he spat blood?

This truly was impossible to guard against!
