How to Deal With It

In this world's history, when the Engineers first came to Earth, there were not even any living creatures on the planet. They left behind genetic material, and only billions of years later did humanity emerge. By then, the Engineers had come to Earth and provided all kinds of teachings and guidance to humankind. Human cave paintings from tens of thousands of years ago contained numerous depictions of the Engineers.

This also resulted in humanity's genetic material being almost identical to that of the Engineers. However, human bodies were too weak and did not meet the Engineers' original purpose in creating humanity.

Later, humanity's intelligence and rate of development greatly surprised the Engineers, so several thousand years ago, they made plans to wipe out humanity. Before that plan could be carried out, however, their spaceship encountered a series of accidents.

Speaking of which, the fact that humanity in this world had survived until now was, to a large extent, also due to luck.

Overall, Chen Mu considered the Engineers an utterly bizarre race. They were practically a pair of fools alongside the Precursors of the Pacific Rim world. After developing for hundreds of millions, even billions of years, their technology was not much more advanced than humanity's.

Perhaps it was because of the universe itself that their technology had an upper limit. That was likely why the Engineers had resolved to destroy humanity.

Judging by humanity's pace of development, they might only need ten thousand years to catch up to the Engineers' technology. The Engineers were afraid!

And humanity had, in fact, embarked on the same path as the Engineers.

Humanity had created bio-humans. David was the first bio-human, and he developed his own will. Following the wishes of his creator, he tried to create a "perfect" life-form. That was when
