At this moment, Li Chen and the two scientists were in a long, brightly lit corridor about five meters wide.
Both sides of the corridor were lined with various checkpoints and Disinfection Zones.
Beyond the exit of each Disinfection Zone was a different entrance leading into the corresponding sections of this enormous Underground Laboratory.
The passages extended in every direction, crisscrossing like a maze.
At this moment, aside from Li Chen and the others, there were also some scientists who had just come down from above.
There were also two fully armed Patrol Teams, each with around fifty members.
A sudden, shrill howl rang out.
Everyone in the broad, lengthy corridor was startled.
The two scientists and the scientists passing by nearby
all turned pale, their faces filled with uncertainty.

After checking their communication devices and surveillance equipment and confirming that everything was normal,
they all breathed sighs of relief.

After briefly reassuring the scientists around them,
the captains of the Patrol Teams offered no further explanation and led their members away, continuing their patrol as if nothing had happened.
They soon vanished from everyone's sight.
Meanwhile, the group of scientists erupted into commotion.

Someone stepped forward and asked uneasily.
"Of course we heard it. Didn't you see how badly it startled me?"
"What exactly was that? Could the laboratory be carrying out one of those terrifying experiments again?"
