Xilos had thought it through clearly.
The Shadow World could no longer accommodate her. From discussing the Black Fog with the leaders of the other races back then, to experimenting with suppressing it, Xilos and the Elf race had been set up from the very beginning.
If she did not go, she would be branded selfish for disregarding all races. If she went, then she and the Elf race suppressing those Black Fog auras was practically a foregone conclusion.
In fact, Xilos taking the initiative to accept had been the best solution at the time. At the very least, she had gained some resources and nurtured intermediate elves like Mei Fu and Kolun.
If she had refused, the accusations pinned on her would only have grown more absurd.
The more she thought about it, the more wrong it felt. After coming to this world and encountering other people and other Shelters, Xilos felt that she had been far too naive back then!
If it had been Shen Yi, then with his personality, he would most likely have taken the blame and directly led the entire Elf race into a fight with everyone else.
That would have been far more satisfying than being slowly carved apart as she was now.
Not long after arriving in this world, Xilos had instructed Kolun never to entertain any thoughts about Shen Yi or the women around him, even those weaker than him or the Elf race.
Anyone who stayed by Shen Yi's side was no simple character. Most of them had their own considerable value, which was why they could remain at his side for so long.
And Kolun remembered it perfectly.
Ever since Xilos had said that she wanted to become the sharpest blade, the light in her eyes had changed.
"Forget it.
