Background / History

Gu Yuena lived in a vast, lifeless hidden space within the Star Dou Great Forest, enduring long isolation while carrying a severe wound inflicted by lingering Asura Divine Power. As the Silver Dragon King and the soul beasts’ remaining hope, she had planned for tens of thousands of years to restore their standing. 17 18

Su Chen found her after confronting Di Tian and the other fierce beasts. He threatened the soul beast race and used the destruction of her refuge to compel Gu Yuena’s submission. She accepted his terms in order to protect her people, though Su Chen bound her with a God King Seal that made defiance or escape dangerous. 17 18 32

Su Chen later healed her Asura-inflicted wound, restoring her to the level of a First-Rank God. In exchange, Gu Yuena agreed to serve under him in his plan to unify the continent and reopen a path for soul beasts to become gods. 18

At the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well, Gu Yuena sensed the remains of the Ice and Fire Dragon Kings and absorbed their cores. Her connection to the soul beasts remained central to her decisions; she hesitated when Su Chen asked for Bear Lord’s paw because Bear Lord had served her for over a hundred thousand years. 34 35

After learning that the Golden Dragon King was sealed in the Divine Realm, Gu Yuena joined Su Chen’s expedition there. She entered the sealed land, rescued Bibi Dong from the Golden Dragon King’s vicinity, and acquired the Golden Dragon King Core after Su Chen stopped its self-destruction. 244 249 250

Following the Divine Realm’s transformation into part of the Netherworld, Gu Yuena helped gather the soul beasts for Su Chen’s plan. The soul beasts were subsequently led into the Divine Realm and given the opportunity to become gods. 301 302
