The two figures collided, then quickly separated. It looked like they had just completed their first exchange, but Deva Path Pain's behavior was rather strange, as though he were contemplating something.
After a long while, Pain finally looked Moriyue directly in the eye.
"Heh. A mortal's strength, trying to defy a god. Utterly foolish." Pain swept out one hand, his body spreading wide.
Moriyue only felt the repulsive force around him growing stronger and stronger, as if an unyielding piece of steel had been placed beneath a hydraulic press.
"Now this is interesting..." Moriyue grinned. It had been a long time since he had felt pressure. That was a good thing—he could finally train himself properly.
An invisible aura erupted from Moriyue's body. When that force slammed into Pain's Shinra Tensei, black-blue lightning actually sparked into existence.
"My body... is burning up." Moriyue looked at Pain high above him, yet his heart was filled with delight.
"Roar!" A Dragon Roar rang out. Without another word, Moriyue shot into the sky. The heavens grew even darker as black-blue thunderclouds gathered in midair. This was a new move he had developed, using thunderclouds to expand his body, somewhat like Enel's technique from One Piece.
Frenzied lightning wrapped around Moriyue's body, and thunderclouds sealed him tightly within. He was more than three times larger than usual. The thunderclouds magnified his size, while violent lightning clung around him and raged wherever he moved.
Moriyue threw back his head and roared. Wild lightning blanketed his entire body, and crackling sounds like explosions came from within him. Each time Moriyue's body trembled, his strength increased another degree.
"Boom! Boom! Boom!"
Streams of incomparably violent lightning aura burst from Moriyue's body, directly tearing apart the surrounding air. Such power forced the nearby lightning to retreat. Vortex after
