Sea Emperor had sent his clones ahead to lure all manner of Demonic Beasts along the way into carefully calculated areas, then used the Hidden Array Disk to conceal the Demonic Beast hordes.
When the pursuers reached the area Sea Emperor had set up, they could not see the Demonic Beasts ahead of them. However, the Demonic Beasts within the array's coverage could clearly see them approaching and immediately launched their attacks.
Before Gu Ding and Sea Emperor, the video projection was a chaotic mess.
As the first group of pursuers became entangled in battle with the Demonic Beasts, the second group arrived from another direction. They too suffered a sudden attack and fell into disarray.
Sea Emperor immediately projected a second video feed.
Seeing the screen filled with screams and the ground littered with wreckage, Gu Ding frowned slightly. When he had trapped those pursuers in another Yellow Zone before, he had not seen what happened at the scene. Thinking about it now, it had probably looked much like what was shown in the video. It made him somewhat uncomfortable. After all, their deaths were not entirely unrelated to him.
Sea Emperor noticed the subtle change in Gu Ding's expression. Knowing Gu Ding well, he easily guessed what Gu Ding was thinking and comforted him. "You don't need to blame yourself. Everything you did was only for self-preservation. You couldn't just stand there and let everyone attack you, could you? In truth, you were a victim in this whole matter as well. If anyone is to blame, it is only the ones who made the rules of this game."
Sea Emperor's consolation made Gu Ding feel a little better.
