Gu Ding and Elizabeth had no idea that others had already broken into this ruin.
After entering the heart of the mountain, the two of them looked around.
Inside the mountain was an enormous cave, and they were standing in its central hall.
In the hall stood a huge stone table that had already decayed. Around it were eighteen chairs, all of which had rotted away into nothing but piles of ash.
Other than that, a huge blackboard hung on one wall. The writing on it had long since blurred beyond recognition. It was impossible to tell what material the blackboard was made from, but it still appeared intact.
"This hall should have been their War Room." Looking at the marks left behind by time, Gu Ding felt somewhat downcast.
"It seems our earlier guess was right. This is a Military Base." Elizabeth nodded.
"Let's check the other rooms. There should be something here that those people from the other planes covet." Gu Ding turned to Elizabeth.
"Let's split up and investigate. We don't have much time." Elizabeth nodded.
"Alright. Be careful. Call out if you run into danger."
Gu Ding was comfortable splitting up because they had already reached the interior of the Military Base. In a place where internal personnel frequently moved about, it was unlikely that many traps would be set.
After splitting up, one going left and the other right, they began searching the rooms one by one.
The first room Gu Ding entered appeared to be a security room.
The room was not large. It contained surveillance equipment Gu Ding had never seen before, but its energy had run out and it had stopped operating. He examined an energy slot and inserted an Order Energy Crystal.
