Within the Heavenly Demon Hall, blood-red mist rose in a Side Hall where crimson gauze danced.
From within the blood-mist-filled area came the occasional sound of water being stirred.
At the center of the swirling mist was a spacious bathing pool. Yet incredibly, the water within was not clear and transparent, but a viscous crimson, like fresh blood still carrying warmth.
Inside the pool, two girls who looked sixteen or seventeen were bathing a little girl.
The little girl appeared to be only five or six years old. Her eyes were half-closed, and she looked quite content.
A Middle-Aged Man hurried toward the hall, stopping at the entrance.

"Grand Elder, the Saintess is bathing. Whatever it is can wait!" One of the girls turned and rebuked him from near the doorway.
"No need to wait. Just speak." The little girl slowly opened her eyes, her voice ethereal as that of an immortal.
"Yes, Saintess!" The Middle-Aged Man did not step into the hall. Instead, he remained at its entrance and began transmitting his voice to the three of them.
"This subordinate received word two days ago that the Abyssal Demon Ancestor from the Primordial Era had returned from the Ten Thousand Races Battlefield with a group of followers. It was also said that he had joined forces with the Red Eye Ancestor and was planning to unite other factions to overthrow the rule of our Heavenly Demon Hall."
