Abyss, Heavenly Demon Hall.
Early in the morning, Mary burst into the courtyard where Gu Ding was staying. Gu Ding was packing his things. Over the past few days, he had had Red Eye Ancestor and Demon Ancestor Wan Mo gather quite a few resources, most of them medicinal herbs unique to the Abyss.
"I'll finish packing up. I'll be ready in a moment." Seeing Mary arrive, Gu Ding knew she had come to call him for breakfast.
Less than two minutes later, Gu Ding had sorted and put away everything before following Mary out.
This breakfast was not as lavish as usual. There was only one bowl of noodles, though it was loaded with ingredients, all of them things Gu Ding liked.
However, judging by the craftsmanship behind the noodles, Gu Ding did not think they had been made by the chef from the past few days.
"Did you change chefs?" Gu Ding asked casually.
"The Saintess got up early and made these noodles herself," the Black Hair Maid said beside him, curling her lips.
"I don't know if they're any good. I learned from the chef these past few days." Mary looked at Gu Ding expectantly.
"Where's your portion?" Gu Ding found it strange. There was only one bowl on the table, whereas there had usually been two sets of tableware.
"Well..."
"The Saintess has been conducting experiments these past few days and used up all the flour. The remaining flour this morning was only enough for this one bowl." The Blue Hair Maid explained expressionlessly, though Gu Ding could tell she was in a bad mood.
"Only one bowl?!" Gu Ding froze for a moment, then said to the two maids, "Then please bring another set of tableware."
