My original idea had actually been to make it clear in the plot: have Sea Emperor link up with the Nuwa Ship, receive all of her data, and then learn of his own origins. But as the story developed, Sea Emperor had already begun coming into contact with information from outside the Nuwa Chaos World, so there was no longer any need for him to return to the Nuwa Ship and complete the connection. That part was never written.

Of course, some minor loose ends really were left unresolved, such as SkyNet's whereabouts and where Boyi went after taking Gu Ding's punishment in his place.
