Gu Ding's Urgent Desire to Grow Stronger

"Activate the shielding function!" Gu Ding stared intently as the giant beast drew closer and gave Sea Emperor the command.

The ship's internal shielding function activated at once, cutting off every trace of scent within the cabin.

In the beginning, this shielding function had been used to smuggle living creatures. Once activated, the Interstellar Port's detection system would show the hold as empty, allowing the ship to pass through easily. Later, however, shielding systems gradually became commercially used to transport private goods and prevent the competitors of either buyer or seller from discovering them. As a result, most commercial vessels had shielding systems. Of course, the Federal Government later issued new regulations requiring cabin shielding to be disabled during Interstellar Port inspections, or the cargo would be detained outright.

Gu Ding and Liliath's presence was completely isolated from the outside world, but they could still clearly see everything happening outside. This ship's passenger cabins were about ten meters above the ground, offering an excellent view. The cargo hold was beneath the cabins; this was generally the basic layout of higher-end cargo ships.

The giant beast gradually approached, looking around from side to side as its enormous nostrils sniffed hard at the air. And if they made any noise and drew the attention of the other four giant beasts, the two of them would probably die even more horribly.

At last, the sky outside the window darkened.

"The ship's shielding system is already active. That big guy came so close and still didn't detect us, so hiding here should be safe." Gu Ding sat down on the bed on the left.

This ship was not some high-end passenger vessel, but a cargo ship. The passenger cabins were for the crew's personal use, and every cabin had two beds. In fact, having two beds was already decent treatment. Many cargo ships had bunk beds in their cabins, with one room housing four people. The cabin Gu Ding was in had two large beds.

"I'm going to wash up and sleep. My mental power should fully recover by tomorrow morning. Try not to wake me unless it's necessary." After saying that, Liliath headed toward the bathroom.

Gu Ding lay down on the bed. The soft, spacious bed instantly released the exhaustion throughout his body. With his eyes closed, he kicked off his shoes, turned over, pulled the blanket over himself, and quickly fell asleep.

The dozens of hours he had spent on this planet had left Gu Ding utterly exhausted. He had either been running or fighting. Even when he had slept near the volcano, he had been lying on hard stone, and the quality of that sleep had been poor. Once his fatigue was released, he quickly drifted into sleep.

About half an hour later, Liliath finally emerged from the bathroom. She had changed into a nightgown-like set of pajamas. Seeing that Gu Ding was already sound asleep, she lightened her movements and quietly climbed onto her own bed. Just as she was about to sleep, she noticed Gu Ding's left hand sticking out from beneath the blanket. She suddenly thought of something and took out a vial of medicine from her Storage Space.

Sea Emperor watched her every move. When it saw the vial in her hand, it finally relaxed. It was the Cellular Repair Agent she had wanted to give Gu Ding earlier.

Liliath tiptoed over to Gu Ding's side, lifted his wrist, easily found a vein, and injected the vial of Cellular Repair Agent into him.

After putting the empty vial back into her Storage Space, Liliath slipped back onto her own bed.

The night was long, but peaceful.

Gu Ding and Liliath both slept until daybreak.

Feeling fully refreshed, Gu Ding stretched lazily. He felt as though his physical condition was even better than when he had first arrived on this planet, which surprised him.

"Let me tell you some good news. Your injuries have completely recovered. Your bones have fully healed, and even your internal injuries have been completely eliminated." Sea Emperor's voice soon came through.

"How could it be so fast?" Gu Ding knew his recovery ability was astonishing, but injuries like fractures should not have healed in just two or three days.

"That girl injected you with a Cellular Repair Agent while you were asleep last night. Combined with more than thirty hours of sleep, it pushed your body's recovery ability to its limit. Not only have all your injuries healed, but your Cell Comprehensive Index has also risen to 20 points." Sea Emperor brought him a second piece of good news.

"How is your body? Do you think you'll fully recover by tomorrow?" After a full night's sleep, Liliath also looked brimming with energy.

"Normally, it would be ground into powder and refined into a medicine with other materials," Sea Emperor explained. "However, a crystal nucleus from a Gene Beast comparable to a third-rank Gene Beast can only be crushed by at least a fourth-rank powerhouse. And you don't have the necessary medicinal materials to refine it into something consumable."

"You mean we have to leave this planet first? But I can't wait that long." Gu Ding desperately needed power.
