Two days later, all the Alliance Army's main regiments arrived at the western battlefield. Any farther ahead would take them into territory controlled by the alien species. This was the main road connecting to Yin City, broad and level, but the movement of the massive force had melted the snow beneath their feet into grimy slush.
The environment was unbearably harsh. In the freezing cold, they also had to endure the dampness of the snowmelt underfoot.
After the tens of thousands of main-force troops had all set up camp, the generals from several regiments gathered in Jin Yangbiao's tent. A city map of Yin City lay in the middle as they began discussing the upcoming attack plan.

"What news did the scouts bring back?" Jin Yangbiao asked first.
Shangguan Rong spoke in a grave voice. "They couldn't get any closer once they were ten kilometers out. They spotted large numbers of alien species. It seems they've been lying in ambush for us."
"What about the terrain?" Jin Yangbiao frowned.
Wen Qisheng pointed at the map. "Going straight down the main road leads directly onto the central thoroughfare. Buildings line both sides of the straight route, and the city has relatively little greenery. It seems the alien species cleared away the overgrown plants here in advance."
"The situation doesn't look good. It won't be easy to attack." The other two generals both shook their heads.
