The helicopter's rotors thundered through the air. Luo Ming and Duan Jiangwei were crammed into the same helicopter, neither speaking as they repeatedly looked down at Nanshu Base drawing closer below, their eyes filled with urgency.
As they approached, both of them could not help frowning. Even at such a height, even inside the cabin, they could smell the stench of decay!

Staring at the vast black expanse below, the two of them were overwhelmed with shock.
They had come to ask about Yuan Xiye, the Awakening Agent, and the Cycle Theory. Research institutes were the most important places in every base, and every piece of research material was usually meticulously documented, to say nothing of rare materials like special crystals.
The successful development of the Awakening Agent must have consumed a huge quantity of special crystals in its early stages. Such material losses could not possibly have escaped the base leader's notice.
So they only needed to ask Chu Han, and they would learn whether all of it was true!
Yet when the two urgently arrived above Nanshu Base by helicopter, their urgency over those matters faded, replaced by the great battle that had taken place at Nanshu Base.
Hearing report after report of the battle's progress was nothing compared to the shock of seeing it firsthand. The closer they got, the more so it became!
"This is too world-shattering, too shocking!" Duan Jiangwei exclaimed, his voice trembling slightly.
Luo Ming was equally moved. "I really don't
