At Yang Valley Graveyard in Yin Yang Valley, on the first floor of the black palace, Jiang Lingxuan stepped out. The suddenly blazing sunlight made him squint. He was covered in dust; although his arms bore no wounds, his clothes had been shredded into strips, making it clear that he had gone through a fierce battle.
Standing outside the palace, he looked back at the place that still filled him with lingering fear, and his heart could not help but tighten.
He had not expected that after he put down that mirror, the entire palace would undergo drastic changes as if it had come alive. He had heard the sounds of battle outside, but he had no way of finding out what was happening, because the situation inside the palace alone had already kept him too busy to cope.
Yet it seemed that something had protected him, allowing him to make it all the way through without any real danger and safely leave this place in the end.
The path he had taken to get here had already been sealed off. Huge boulders that had appeared from nowhere blocked the way, leaving Jiang Lingxuan unable to return. In his desperation, he could only run down the spiraling stairs at the center of the palace. With every floor he descended, the levels above gradually collapsed from within, destruction spreading from top to bottom.
