The corners of Chu Han's mouth lifted high. Then his gaze changed, and a bloodthirsty killing intent suddenly surged through his eyes. "I'll chop you up and feed you to the zombies!"

He would put collars around his parents' necks and tie them outside his door like dogs!

Suddenly, he sprang up from the ground and swiftly grabbed the fire axe beside his feet. Just a few hours ago, he had used this very axe to hack someone to death alive. That feeling had been absolutely wonderful. The thrill of blood spraying out as the axe blade sank into living flesh gave him an almost perverse appetite.

"Ah—!" he screamed, gripping the axe as he charged forward.

He believed no one would expect his sudden move. Shang Jiudi, that fiery woman, was very close to him. He could take her hostage, force Chu Han to hand over the food, and then escape safely!

Perhaps he could even take Shang Jiudi with him and use her as a trophy to amuse himself with on the road to Stone City!

A gleaming, violently imposing battle axe suddenly blocked his path. The axe was truly enormous and heavy, twice the size of an ordinary fire axe. It was covered in dark, dried blood and gave off a strong stench of decay. It was impossible to tell whether the blood belonged to zombies or humans.

Chu Han easily wielded the iron axe in one hand, tilting his head slightly. "I advise you not to waste your strength."

Chu Han suddenly twisted his wrist. The iron axe moved slightly as if it had come alive, smacking Xiao Yunfei's wrist with a sharp crack!

"No need." The woman gave Chu Han no chance to say more. After tossing all the large bags to Chen Shaoye to carry, she gave Chu Han a faint smile. "I'm fine. I know you're in a hurry. You still need to find your parents."

For no reason, a trace of warmth rose in his heart.

"Thanks for understanding." Chu Han nodded, turned around, and picked up Xiao Yunfei as easily as if he were lifting a sandbag.

Xiao Yunfei was still howling and rolling around, drenched in sweat from the pain. Even while dangling in midair from Chu Han's grip, he continued to punch, kick, and twist about in agony, but he could not touch Chu Han even once.
