After the battles, Liang Xingchen hinted that Lin Fan and Liang Xue shared a childhood past, and Lin Fan summoned her to ask what had happened.

• Lin Fan graduated early, impressed Liang Xingchen in a simulated fleet battle, and accepted command of the experimental 101st Mixed Fleet at Mars Base.
• Lin Fan gave Bai Zixuan plans for Warp Drive Engines and Industrial Robots, then led the 101st Fleet to destroy Rex’s ambush fleet and capture the Oakes Empire’s Ninth Prince, Duolun.
• Lin Fan escorted Ed Campbell’s negotiation team and helped secure a seven-year ceasefire, but Weide’s coup attempt disrupted the signing and rebels attacked the station.
• Lin Fan rescued Liang Xue from attacking fighters, then led the 101st Fleet to destroy the rebel battlecruisers and encircle the Orc Rebel Army, winning the battle at heavy cost.

Lin Fan advanced the Federation’s technology and rose through the ranks while helping Liang Xingchen defeat the Oakes Empire’s invasion and rescue Liang Xue. He became acting commander of the First Fleet as the Oakes Emperor ordered Adams to launch another attack.

• Lin Fan accepted Liang Xue’s childhood story and grew closer to her, while Liang Xingchen arrived with reinforcements and promoted him to major general.
• Bai Zixuan’s experimental warp drive sent a frigate from Mars to Earth in 1.14 seconds, while Lin Fan began developing fusion technology.

Lin Fan led the First Fleet to reclaim human-held systems, defeat Oakes forces, and rescue millions of enslaved people. After the Federation paused to rebuild, Lin Fan accepted a secret mission to draw the Kabart Empire into the war against Oakes and approached its territory.

• Lin Fan’s fleet destroyed Adams’s forces in the Third Asteroid Belt War, secured the Solar System’s outer defenses, and learned that Aisa had sent the Fourth Imperial Guard Legion to avenge Adams.
• Lin Fan organized a mecha tournament during the fleet’s deployment, defeated the eight finalists, and later recruited Li Cangqiong, Zhang Zhiwei, and Xia Tina into the First Fleet.
• Lin Fan recruited Chris Rhode as commander of the First Division Fleet, then led the First Fleet to join Liang Xingchen’s Fourth Fleet for Operation Dawn’s Light.

Lin Fan armed the Kabart Empire and used its war against Oakes to weaken the empire before leading the Human Federation in an invasion of its heartland. After defeating Ramiro’s fleets and capturing Oakes Prime, Lin Fan began eliminating the Oakes people, and Lin Zhen’s council approved the plan.

• Lin Fan persuaded Emperor Farhale to attack the Oakes Empire in exchange for Energy Shield equipment, helping Kabart seize Vite and Reo.
• The Human Federation captured Horton, destroyed Aisa’s Fourth Imperial Guard Legion, and swept through the Oakes heartland to isolate the Capital Sphere.
• Lin Fan’s fleets captured Rao and trapped Ramiro’s Royal Fleet on Oakes Prime by cutting off supplies and luring the Aegis Fleet into an ambush.
• The Federation destroyed the Aegis Fleet and the Oakes Orbital Fortress, then wiped out Ramiro’s remaining Royal Fleet as debris devastated Planet Oakes.
