Kilian froze with a piece of pastry halfway to his mouth.
"What did you say?"
"Check it again. How could something so absurd be possible?"
"A distance of 2.4 Standard Black Hole Units, reachable in two hours?"
"Nearly 60 Black Hole Units in a single day?"
"Absurd. Completely absurd!"
After a brief stunned pause, Kilian's first reaction was disbelief.
Either the equipment had malfunctioned, or his subordinates had made a mistake.
How could anyone possibly travel 60 Standard Black Hole Units in a day?
We can sail for an entire year and not cover as much ground as they do in one day. If this isn't a mistake, I'll eat every one of these plates!
Grumbling inwardly, Kilian unknowingly raised a flag.
"Commander, we've checked several times. There are no issues!"
"And the enemy force definitely consists of more than ten legions!"
The data analyst on the bridge confirmed it again, his voice even trembling.
What kind of strength did a civilization capable of marching at such a speed possess?
And on top of that, they had at least ten legions.
If they were hostile, there would be absolutely no way for them to resist.
In other words, did that mean they only had a few hours left to live?
At that thought, everyone on the bridge panicked.
"Quickly, report this situation to Supreme Commander Marquis at once. At the same time, attempt to contact them and confirm their identity and whether they are friend or foe!"
"Yes, Commander!"
The bridge was no longer filled with the relaxed atmosphere from before. Everyone moved according to Kilian's orders with panic written across their faces.
"Report, Commander. Supreme Commander Marquis rebuked us for making false military reports to excuse our excessive losses!"
"Report, Commander. The other side has shown no response whatsoever
