A swirling azure Hyperspace Window appeared not far from Ogwell.
Ten Zero-Point Missiles shot out of it in an instant, immediately initiating their detonation sequences.
Only then did Ogwell notice the missiles, but it was already too late.
Ten small, blinding white spheres of light rose up and rapidly expanded, until they began to touch and merge with one another, finally becoming one.
An energy mass several times larger and more terrifying than that produced by a single Zero-Point Missile appeared. Carrying the power to devour and annihilate everything, it instantly engulfed an area over ten million kilometers wide around itself.
At the center of the energy mass, Ogwell was doing everything in his power to maintain a defensive barrier unique to his species.
It was clearly the same attack, so why had it become so many times stronger?
He had clearly been able to withstand it with his body alone just moments ago. Why was he now struggling so much even while exerting himself fully to deploy a defensive barrier?
Ogwell's mind was filled with question marks.
"Not good!"
It was only then that he suddenly remembered something.
If even he was having such difficulty resisting it, what about the children under his command?
Well, there was no need to ask. They were all dead.
Although the attack's area of effect was not particularly large, and even the clan-level Sixth Order Creatures among the Purgatory Creatures were nearly Earth-sized, a range of ten million kilometers would not affect too many of them. At most, a few thousand.
But even if it was not many, it was enough to make Ogwell's heart ache.
After all, the Purgatory Creature civilization was not like the Zerg, those breeding machines. Their numbers were quite limited, and nurturing a new generation was extremely slow.
