The void was littered with the wreckage of warships and various Defense Platforms. Clearly, a massive war had once taken place here.

Most crucially, whether they were warships, Defense Platforms, or space fighters, the style of these wrecks made it obvious that they belonged to the same civilization.

In other words, the entire battlefield contained the wreckage of only one side, with none from the other!

That was extremely strange.

On the planet's surface, destroyed clusters of buildings could be seen everywhere. Several densely packed areas had clearly once been prosperous cities, but now only ruins remained.

Yet strangely, in one region of the planet stood a perfectly intact giant city, utterly out of place amid the urban ruins scattered everywhere else.

This was an exceptionally modern city. Judging solely from the technology used in its civilian facilities, it had already reached the level of a fifth-tier technological civilization.

However, even for such a civilization, no military force could be seen either in space outside the planet or on its surface, as though this civilization had developed only civilian technology and no military technology at all.

At the very center of the city, within a colossal spire-like structure over three thousand meters tall, a group of scientists stood silently around a special device in the vast space at its summit.

This was a Stasis Pod built by combining every technological achievement of the Tarak Civilization. Its greatest difference from the Stasis Pods of second- and third-tier civilizations was that this one could freeze its people inside for ten thousand years without producing any adverse effects.
