Biological Civilizations differed from Technological Civilizations.
Technological Civilizations advanced through technological development, while Biological Civilizations relied on individual evolution.
However, individual evolution required the energy within one's body to evolve—in simple terms, transforming from one form of energy into another.
Individuals of Technological Civilizations likewise underwent two individual evolutions.
The first was converting biological energy into Dark Energy, becoming what were known as Dark Energy Users.
The second was converting Dark Energy into energy closer to the origin—what Lin Aotian called Life Source. The Alphart Civilization had transformed through precisely this process, evolving into energy beings made purely of Life Source.
In truth, Technological Civilizations also had to undergo this evolution. It was not as Lin Aotian had claimed, that evolving into energy beings made it impossible to become a God-tier Civilization.
The reason the Alphart Civilization had been unable to become a God-tier Civilization was unrelated to this evolution. It had simply taken the wrong technological path when it was a Ninth Order Civilization.
Of course, this was not without a solution. As long as it tore down all its technological theories and started over, it would still have a chance of becoming a God-tier Civilization.
However, that was akin to abandoning all one's cultivation and starting anew, something most civilizations likely could not accept.
Furthermore, the Alphart Civilization had never known that this was where the problem lay, so naturally it had never done so.
The situation for Biological Civilizations was somewhat different. Once an individual reached the tenth order, becoming half Dark Energy and half Black Hole Cavity Energy, it had to fully transform into Black Hole Cavity Energy to advance further.
Once this step was completed, a cosmic lifeform would completely become a Black Hole Cavity Creature. Even after leaving the universe, it could survive within
