For other setting-related issues, I think I'll mostly write according to the original work. Some parts will include "unofficial history," as well as this salted fish's own understanding and extrapolations, so they may differ from what you know. This A Certain Scientific Railgun arc is fine, since it doesn't require digging too deeply, but the settings in later arcs may become more complicated.
Also, I'd like to say that a novel is proof of an author's hard work, while readers are the greatest affirmation an author can receive. This salted fish will rationally and sincerely accept everyone's reasonable suggestions.
