Soaring Power

Luo Yifang walked up to the multi-ton armored police car. Instead of lifting it like the motorcycle earlier, he reached out and grabbed the car door. His fingers easily pierced the hard alloy door, and with a tug of his right arm, he yanked the door off with a screech of twisting metal. Luo Yifang raised an eyebrow in surprise, "I barely felt anything?"

"Then try lifting the car?" Paqi wasn't afraid of Luo Yifang embarrassing himself. In her opinion, no matter how strong Luo Yifang was, lifting a multi-ton car was unlikely. After all, Luo Yifang had only had this ability for a few hours. Even if it was LV.5, the effects of a reinforcement-type ability wouldn't manifest so quickly.

"I'll try," Luo Yifang smiled and nodded. He didn't pay much attention. He had a rough idea from the last two actions. The most important thing wasn't the increase in strength, as Vector Manipulation could achieve that better. He wanted to test other things.

Still with one hand, Luo Yifang grabbed the car and tried to lift it, but it wouldn't budge.

"Giving up already?" Paqi seized the opportunity to retort, "That was quick."

"No, that spot can't bear the car's weight. If I force it, it'll break. I can't lift it." Luo Yifang glanced at the car and then kicked it. The car flipped over like a toy, landing on the ground with a dull thud. Only then did Luo Yifang grab a bar on the chassis. With just one hand and not much effort, he lifted the car.

"What kind of monstrous ability is this? It's only been a few hours, and your physical condition has become this insane?" Paqi was astonished. Luo Yifang's superpower was completely unconventional.

"Actually, if I told you I can now tear apart tanks with my bare hands, would you believe me?" Luo Yifang seemed unconcerned. After all, the increase in strength was just icing on the cake.

"As if you couldn't before."

Luo Yifang was immediately speechless. Right, he could previously tear apart Gundams with his bare hands. And why was he trying to show off to this person who was clearly provoking him? She was probably just looking for opportunities to mock him. Of course, having someone to bicker with wasn't so lonely. He had been disabled and treated like a freak for years. It had been many years since he had a face-to-face conversation with anyone.

To fully test his other superpower, Luo Yifang experimented with his current strength, speed, durability, recovery, and neural reaction capabilities. The results even shocked him. Based on his current performance, he might be able to fight some of the less monstrous Servants in Fate. Of course, without actual combat experience, he wasn't entirely sure. Nevertheless, he felt he could now trade blows with the Hulk a few times.

Even more shocking was that his body was constantly getting stronger. It seemed the energy he absorbed from food was just a catalyst, a trigger to activate this ability. Luo Yifang felt his body becoming more powerful at a terrifying rate, even without conscious effort. He even thought that if this continued indefinitely, he could blow up the Earth with a single punch in a few weeks. Fortunately, he could now sense a limit. Of course, this limit was still quite terrifying. At least for now, he was still far from it. Judging by the speed of his body's improvement, Luo Yifang estimated it would take another few days to a week to reach this limit.

However, Luo Yifang began to doubt if his ability was truly a superpower. If it was, why was he getting stronger without needing to calculate? Even though his Vector Manipulation was now infinitely close to LV.6, and the calculation formulas had been simplified to an astonishing level, using superpowers through calculation was still necessary.

"Could it be... this isn't an LV.5 ability?" Luo Yifang recalled a document he had read. It mentioned the differences between ability users and methods to enhance their strength. It could allow a weak LV.1 ability user to become LV.5 within a few short years, disregarding innate factors. Of course, because an ability user's strength was closely related to talent, this LV.5 would be weaker than a normally developed or innately LV.5 ability user, but still much stronger than a powerful LV.4 ability user.

Such a magical document, however, said nothing about LV.6, only vaguely hinting that superpowers would undergo some changes at LV.6. Luo Yifang wasn't sure what kind of changes they were, but he guessed it was related to how superpowers were used.

As everyone knows, the use of superpowers is closely related to the development of the user's brain. Any ability user needs to perform calculations when using their abilities, deriving the changes in physical quantities through formulas in their mind. Admittedly, the stronger the ability used, the more complex the calculation process. If Luo Yifang were to use his superpower to manipulate vectors at full capacity, the computational load would be unbearable even for him. Thus, this limitation made it difficult for ability users to engage in high-intensity combat for extended periods.

Furthermore, some ability users could barely use their abilities when experiencing intense emotional changes like panic or fear, which was also a significant hidden danger of superpowers. However, Luo Yifang discovered that as his strength increased since arriving in this world, the calculations he needed to perform began to simplify. Calculations that previously took five seconds could now be completed in less than a second before activating his ability. This was why he said he could now fight ten of his former selves.

In this world, simpler sentences are often less likely to contain traps, and simpler things are often closer to the truth. Luo Yifang felt that this simplification of calculations wasn't just due to his enhanced brainpower. He suspected he was gradually approaching a fundamental truth. Vector Manipulation was an incredibly terrifying ability. As its master, Luo Yifang clearly felt its immense power. It seemed to manipulate more than just vectors and energy, but Luo Yifang couldn't figure it out yet. This was also his bottleneck, the bottleneck he needed to break through to reach LV.6.

Regardless, even though he didn't fully understand how his other ability operated, Luo Yifang knew it wasn't a bad thing. At least he could tangibly feel his body becoming stronger without any side effects. The drawbacks of ability users over-relying on their superpowers were receding from him because the benefits brought by his other ability were genuine enhancements.

Luo Yifang asked Paqi to switch back to the original dimension, then clapped his hands. Looking at the street, which was no different from when he came down, he turned and returned to his apartment.
