First Clash

"But you said this thing would be useful to me?" Luo Yifang pointed at the containment chamber before him, utterly bewildered.

"Uh, it's complicated. I can't explain it for now, but could you take this thing back first?" Paqi said. "The amount of time it remains in any one location is random. It looks like it's been here for at least over a week."

Luo Yifang raised an eyebrow. Take this enormous containment chamber back? Moving and concealing it wouldn't be a problem... but how could he make this thing go "poof" and vanish from the research facility without anyone noticing? That would take some skill. Luo Yifang glanced around, then stomped his right foot against the ground. In a flash, Luo Yifang reappeared beside the containment chamber. With a touch of his right hand, both he and the chamber instantly lost their downward momentum and remained steadily suspended in midair, as though they were standing on solid ground.

Reaching out to pull the feather from the containment chamber, Luo Yifang glanced in the direction Kakine Teitoku had fallen. "It's not over yet..." At that moment, a faint red flash streaked across the sky.

Kakine Teitoku struggled to rise from the massive crater in the ground. A meteorite at least ten meters in diameter was hurtling down at terrifying speed!

With a thunderous BOOM, a horrific explosion and shockwave instantly engulfed the gigantic white cocoon. Yet before that terrifying energy could spread even a meter, it was firmly blocked by some mysterious force. No matter how violently it erupted, it could not break through that invisible barrier.

Luo Yifang walked expressionlessly out of the center of the explosion. Without even looking at the empty crater behind him, he carried the containment chamber and vanished from the spot.

That meteorite had not been an ordinary meteorite—what kind of meteorite could be so terrifying, while also knowing to confine all its energy within such a tiny area to create even more devastating destructive power? Furthermore, another strange magnetic field had disrupted Kakine Teitoku's computational ability. If he had not immediately added another layer of Uncreated Substance, that meteorite might have killed him! What he found most intolerable was that from beginning to end, he had not even seen the true face of the person who had attacked him. Academy City's No. 2 had been utterly crushed!

Tugging at his coat, which was nearly shredded into strips, Kakine Teitoku thought of someone—No. 1. Was it you?!
