An article titled "Please Prepare for an Earthquake" practically blew the roof off the entire city!
The report read as follows: After investigating, this reporter learned that Director Dong of the Guangming Street Office had discovered abnormalities while carrying out Earthquake Prevention and Disaster Reduction publicity work. Director Dong told reporters, "Our office has recently been conducting disaster reduction awareness campaigns, so we've been especially sensitive to these sorts of things. This morning, the barking of several dogs immediately put us on alert. We felt that their barking was different from usual, so we launched an investigation right away. We then discovered widespread abnormal reactions among animals in the subdistrict—dogs barking, cats crying, fish leaping from the water, animals refusing to eat and becoming restless, and so on. All signs indicate that these are precursors to a major earthquake. We later conducted spot checks throughout the urban area and found the same phenomenon in most places.
