Dong Xuebin had not driven. The Cayenne was already battered and wrecked, so he had asked someone to sell it. He had walked over today.
Standing at the entrance to the compound, Dong Xuebin looked inside. A solemn air washed over him, involuntarily filling him with reverence.
Striding forward, Dong Xuebin passed through the gates.
"Please show your identification."
A guard stopped him.
Dong Xuebin handed him a Kraft Paper Bag. "I'm a student in this training program."
The guard opened it and took a look, then returned the contents without expression and pointed northwest. "The auditorium is that way. Go straight, then turn right."
"Okay, thanks." Dong Xuebin put away the Kraft Paper Bag.
Behind him, several more people entered one after another. They had all come to register at the Party School.
It was Dong Xuebin's first time at the Central Party School, and his first time passing through this area. The place resembled a university campus. On the right was a row of shops, including a convenience store and a Barber Shop, all within the Party School. Directly ahead stood a Teaching Building with several large words posted on it—Welcome, New Students. Farther in, several dormitory-like buildings stood on either side. They were quite old, but their imposing presence had not diminished in the least. Dong Xuebin knew that many national leaders and Central Leaders had come here to study and train. His pace slowed even more as he looked around, carefully taking in every building.
The Party School covered a huge area. Even after ten minutes of walking, he had not reached the end.
