The young nurse who had been taking care of Dong Xuebin pushed him around the small garden in his wheelchair, letting him get some sun. Dong Xuebin sat there happily. He was still covered in bandages, though many had been removed over the past two days. Wrapped in his hospital gown, they were not very noticeable, but his clothes looked puffy, making him seem several sizes fatter than usual.
"County Chief Dong, are you feeling better today?"
"Much better. The wounds are just a little itchy."
"That's normal. It means they're healing."
"My foot seems like it can barely move now. How about you help me take a couple of steps?"
