After rinsing his mouth clean, he set the toothbrush in a transparent cup right beside Xie Huilan's purple toothbrush. Finally, he turned on the water heater, washed his face with warm water, and dried the droplets from his cheeks with a new towel. Distractedly, he walked out of the bathroom. At last, it was time to sleep.
In the bedroom, the wall lamp cast a dim yellow glow as Xie Huilan reclined against the headboard, reading a book.
The business suit she had been wearing earlier was now draped over the back of a chair. Sister Xie lay beneath a thin blanket, a truly alluring sight.
Dong Xuebin shamelessly scooted closer. "Sister Xie, which blanket should I use?"
Xie Huilan smiled at him. "What blanket?"
Dong Xuebin pointed at the bed. "You've only got one blanket here. Do you have another?"
"Hehe, you really don't treat yourself like an outsider." Xie Huilan gently closed her book and narrowed her eyes. "We're not married yet. Do you think it's appropriate for you to sleep in the same bed as me?"
