After lunch.
Dong Xuebin was in high spirits now that he was about to get promoted. Humming a little tune, he washed the dishes and chopsticks clean, then strolled out of the kitchen.
"Shall we play Mahjong?" Dong Xuebin suggested.
Han Jing smiled and corrected him. "We'll play Mahjong."
Ci Lifen also chuckled. "That's right, it has nothing to do with you."
Dong Xuebin broke into a sweat when he saw them already setting up the table. "Why not?"
"You can get a Heavenly Hand without even looking at your tiles." Xia Yanzhen shot him a glance. "What's the fun in playing with you? You're not joining us. Xiao Ran, come on."
Xie Ran said in surprise, "A Heavenly Hand? Brother-in-law is that good at cards?"
Xia Yanzhen said, "Are there many things your brother-in-law isn't good at?"
"True." Xie Ran smiled as well. His brother-in-law really couldn't be judged by ordinary standards.
Dong Xuebin said awkwardly, "Then I won't get a Heavenly Hand, okay? Let me play for a while."
Han Jing still refused to include him. "Then you'd be going easy on us. That's even less fun. Go watch TV by yourself. Xiao Ran, come over."
Xie Ran answered and sat down.
The four of them shuffled with a clatter and started playing.
Dong Xuebin was bored. He had spent the whole past week at home watching movies, and now that his job transfer was basically confirmed, he was having trouble calming down. He was still slightly excited, so naturally he wanted to join in when he saw a group activity.
Dong Xuebin simply brought over a chair, set it behind his mother-in-law, and sat behind Han Jing. "Mom, I'll help you watch your tiles."
Han Jing laughed. "Sure. Let's beat them, hehe."
Xia Yanzhen objected. "Sister-in-law,
