A little after ten in the morning.
A plane came roaring in and landed at Capital Airport.
In the airport terminal, Dong Xuebin had returned alone. After getting off the plane, he was still traveling light, carrying only a small bag. He strolled leisurely out of the airport, humming a tune as he left the terminal and lined up for a Yinjian Company taxi.
Dong Xuebin had had a wonderful time these past few days. First, he had reunited with his wife and child; then he had helped his wife build momentum and put certain people in the province on notice. He had run into an old classmate, and finally, he had taken his wife on a grand tour of Macau—shopping, buying things, sightseeing, taking boats, going on outings, and, well, sleeping.
Every cell in his body now seemed to radiate pleasure. He felt completely relaxed.

"Mind if I have a cigarette?"

"Hehe, sure. I was just out of cigarettes. Just get off the plane, young man?"
"Yep. Took a trip with my wife. Just got back."
"The scenery in every city outside is pretty good, but then again, nowhere's as good as our Capital City."
"Heh, you took the words right out of my mouth. That's right. Any random tourist city outside has mountains and water, and the views are gorgeous. Even if it isn't a tourist city, there aren't as many people or cars, and everything feels nice and easy. To be fair, the Capital City can't compare to those places in any way, but hehe, I still think our Capital City is the best. Can't help it."
